Honestly can’t say, if I had to guess, I’d say approximately 7-8lbs. It’s not really heavy.

Great airplane however the gear collapsed on landing, some cold solder joints, gear won't fully retract but it's a great plane.

I heard you talk about Horizin Hobby. I'm glad you're not dealing with them anymore. FUCK Horizon Hobby and Tower Hobbies. It's kind of sad that I'm saying this because I've been a customer from since the early 80's. For the past couple years they've been taking around $200 out of my account every year. Their excuse is for a transaction that was done and completed at least two years ago. SO FUCK HORIZON HOBBY and TOWERHOBBIES!!! And if they want to come after me I got bank statements and email conversations. FUCK THOSE MF"ERS. I AIN"T DEALING WITH THEM EVER AGAIN!!!

Yes it will, we run the 26cc in it and have plenty of power, just get CG right, more nose weight is best to start with

Gentlemen I have this airplane and a stinger 26 with the beam mount. Did you build out from the firewall to use this engine? The 35cc would mount up much easier but apparently they are out of stock cause mine does not show up at my door. Please tell me how you mounted the smaller engine please. Thanks Leroy

We used the 26, seems to be the perfect fit and sweet spot for this plane, flys great and plenty of power

Hi my name is Alex Martinez and I have the same redtail P51 and been flying it for about 11 years now and I just finished putting in the Xwave retracks that work great. You really can't fly nothing better than balsa wood . I have recovered the whole plane to the original Look , so she still Looks like New . I belong to the OMCA flying Club in ORANGE COUNTY California

Well done. I am a bit confused. Did you do the electronic mod first and then had to do the mechanical? Looks like the mechanical mod had 3 wires. Why did you do both?

The Eflite factory gear were just junk done either way, I replaced them with the XWAVE from Motion and they worked great with some slight modifications to the factory struts for all to work properly

Whats yours and others oponion on the nose gear? I've seen a lot writing about the problems with the nose-gear pointing forward, and not slightly backwards...

Never had a problem with it, jet needs to landed on the mains first, then touch down nose, great flying jet 👊🏼

Nice flight, well detailed plane. Wing tube must be really strong as the screw on the top left strut came out for at least 1/2 the flight. So many high wing planes with the loss of the strut screw would have been the loss of the plane. Really a keeper !

Take off the nose gear first, and then turn it a quarter turn and it should come out, hope this helps👊🏼
