Gee, sounds like my Sure Fly mag I installed 8 years ago. A bit behind the curve as usual Champion. Just like you guys and your ridiculously priced 50 dollar oil filters. I don't think anyone is buying your buggy whips anymore. Even Continental no longer uses your spark plugs . All unison.

Hi,Hope this mail finds you in the best of your health,As per section 0.2 of L-1373J manual "after any inspection or maintenance on a slick magnetos, the testing procedure must be performed completely". However, as per 3.1.1, 100-hour inspection, only timing adjustment and external inspection is required. Therefore, is the bench check or testing requirements are necessary at every 100 hours inspection. i want to know that is it recommended to perform the bench check of 6300 series slick magnetos(non-pressurized) at every 100 hrs schedule inspection along with the visual inspection.

Hello, Does it necessary to remove the rotor from the housing during the 500hrs inspection? How can inspect the ball bearings and oil seals without removing the rotor? Thank you for your answere.

Are aviation spark plugs bigger than what you would find in a car? And what would happen if you tried to use them in a car?
@GratefulNPC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are bigger, but other than size they might work, I've seen automotive plugs on planes before

Too bad you can't make spark plugs that work well, I sent them back to champion and you Zach inspected cleaned and returned them "as good" in early 2019, but were unable to tell me why I had hard starting and occasional misfiring with them. I never put them back into service and they are still sitting in a box someplace with <150hrs on them.

Old technology. Champion is becoming the buggy whip of the ignition industry. They are being left behind by surefly and others. Soon we will have dual electronic ignitions certified. Better spark than any mechanical mag can produce. I have a dual on my experimental io-360-180 and use much better quality spark plugs at $2.50 a pop. No more set timing for me. Quick starts just like an automobile and better performance

1:37 you should have done the same thing with those resistors and its design...……. denied it then...…... quietly redesigned it like a tempest plug...….. please tell me they read under 5k ohms out of the box now. pulling old champion plugs on my bonanza this week and switching to tempest. if you only acknowledged your problem right away I would be buying champions this week. Lame company
