Can I get the full manual please? I will trade it for any other 2 engine manuals of your choosing.

It’s been 20 plus years since I did this and obviously things change over time. But I don’t recall us ever shooting while moving. We would set the plug move to the new zone counting collars on the way up so we could make sure every shot was centered between the collars in the thinnest part of the pipe. Has the technology changed that much nowadays or is this company policy? You hardly had to slow down when you fired those shots.

I bought seats pinnacle 1.5 years ago, seat and seat suspension is very comfortable, but lumbar support is stiff and my ribs are hurting after long drive, so I’m think to buy wide ride+ serta, hope it’s softer than pinnacle

Drove an 89 autocar rotator wrecker with an m11. Thing would fire in -35C not plugged in with no problem and sipped fuel. Fantastic engine.

Worked for a pump company and we had one that had a 600 horse m11. The exhaust with muffler was less than 2 foot tall. Had it next to a pump that had a 6090 jd and the jd lugged were the m11 just started rolling coal and humming

I loved your video. I ran a wireline truck for NL McCullough in the 1970s. I did mostly freepoint and backoff work but have done my share of perforating and logging. It is amazing how much technology has advanced in the last 40 years.

Full throttle in a higher gear is more efficient than partial throttle in a lower gear. Small hills you can roll through with no throttle while maintains top gear is where you can beat cruise. But that’s very tedious over an 11 hour shift. That’s where modern tech such as predictive cruise come into play.
@fighter4christ74 ай бұрын
I agree with you. This blows most peoples minds when I say I can’t tell much of a difference in fuel costs between my ‘98 3406 CAT and the 2016 DD15. Considering the aftertreatment system was not working very efficiently so maybe that contributed some. I pull flatbed and the DD15 averaged 6.5mpg on considerably light loads. I do pull a LOT of hills. The CAT engine handles these obstacles with such efficiency I even get 7mpg at times and I believe I’ve gotten 8.5 bobtail and 8 empty. All about the throttle control on the older model trucks, because that cruise control isn’t very computerized. Modern truck cruise will save you fuel. Computers communication system with the engine constantly tunes the engine to what is needed for the situation at hand.

How do you estimate your total costs per mile: Whats your mpg pulling 20k lbs? Estimated maintenance reserve per mile? 15-20 cents? Depreciation on equipment? 20 cents per mile? Insurance per month? Load boards, storage, admin and accounting etc?

How long does it take to advance from trainee to running your own truck? And do companies generally advance based on ability and understanding? Or are they more mechanized about it (must spend 6 months as a trainee before being considered, etc.). Thanks for the videos!

Just had the same issue with the Dexter 7k axle on my toy hauler. Apparently lost a brake pad on my last trip. Luckily, it must have happened pretty close to home, as the rotor and caliper pistons didn't get chewed up. Went to my local trailer shop (they didn't have the pads), and then went to camping world...yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.... They said they've never sold an RV with disc brakes! Finding the part numbers was a PITA, and when I finally did, the cheapest I could find them for was $200 (2 pairs/1-axle kit), Dexter was selling them for over $300 on their website!!! One caliper on Amazon would have been $400-$500!!! WTF???

@DosGringosRanch11 ай бұрын
I would register it for 72k. 12 front 20 rear and 40k for trailer. A lot of states allow 24k on single axle though.
