Wow!!! These pipes sound incredible, the greatest sounding drones I’ve heard in a while. Would love to hear some other tunes like Scotland The Brave or some 6/8 marches. Very well played sir

Is this chanter in b flat?
@iainmachargАй бұрын
It is an A440 3/4 size chanter. The drones are a reproduction of a 3/4 size Highland pipe that was rediscovered in Cape Breton.

Ya, that old Henderson drone sound is pretty amazing even on a little cell phone recording. Custom reeds by Michael MacHarg in an A440 3/4 size reproduction.

In the video, it appears that he took it apart to play it. It would be more practical to only need to remove the top section to get to the mouth piece but leave the bottom part on.

Very clever. Quadruplets playing pipes in key D in tune and with harmonies! I asume the Islay malt was consumed after playing not during? You look too young to have been in service before 1992.
