Would you say it is ok for me to use russian instead of learning latvian even if i'm not very strong in russian? Will they be offended?

That’s great but I have to correct you that Riga isn’t a part of Russia and never was. It used to be a part of the Russian Empire and Soviet Union and but it’s not the same anyway. Local people are very sensitive about this topic. Just for you to know

Hello, I am from Algeria and I came to Montenegro on a tourist visa. How can I convert it into a residence permit? Are there any job opportunities such as delivery and waiter?
@AnnaSandersonEng13 күн бұрын
Hello! Yes, there are plenty of them. Especially at the sea side. So I recommend you come to Budva, Tivat or Kotor to find the job. After that, the employer will make a residence permit for you. They usually don’t mind doing that

Beret is more an older person and countryside thing. Not many peaple wear beret but if you see one it's probably an older person or someone from the coutry side or just wanting to protect from the sun with something a little bit original but you definitly don't see berets very often in the big cities.

You're expecting modern luxuries (and dependencies) that didn't exist at all until recently. The cost of the delivery has to baked into the prices when it is "free" and unequally shared among all customers. It's normal that you go to a shop yourself, get fresh air, Vitamin-D, burn some kilojoules and see those flowers. And how are people so frail that they can't survive one day without a pharmacy? You can stock up on pain pills if you expect that you'll need them. Something stronger for toothache you won't get at all without a prescription. People in rural areas far from the city don't have pharmacies within reach either. There was talk of closing supermarkets on Sundays like it is normal in some other countries. For the most part, you can stock up on regualar necessities for days or months ahead. Even something as perishable as milk lasts 4 to 7 days. This would reduce power consumption of stores and give employees a day off. My opinion of the healthcare system is not great. Because it is mostly free for citizens funded by taxes, you are the product, and they can push you around. I haven't been to a doctor for years and years.
@AnnaSandersonEngАй бұрын
I was just sharing what I got used to before vs how things worked in Latvia. I now live in a different country where nothing works on Sunday and It’s absolutely terrible. Yeah, of course I can buy all I need before that day. But I can be busy and work everyday until Sunday and just have no possibility to do all these things before Sunday and in addition - human factor. I can simply forget to do all these things on time. And I am really sorry for the people in villages who don’t have pharmacies and stuff. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have to expect these things in a developed city 🤔

The problem is not that they are lazy - there are other countries where people are lazy - but that either they are in denial of their laziness or worse they say " so what ? We are far more creative than the other mere mortals so it's irrelevant". Such a degree of Hubris is repulsive.

Hello Anna! Good vidéo 👍! I think that some people may find us rude because of our culture. For exemple, when we enter in a bar, in a shop, in a post-office, etc ... : we enter someone's home and we owe the same respect as a friend or a family's menber. In some country, people think that because they have money and will pay for a object or service : there is a hierarchy to their advantage! And most of French people think it's rude and disrespectful! It 's my opinion. Bye
