Looking at the DK4720 with a backhoe Appreciate the review!

Just used mine over the weekend to clear brush and log about 8 ton of pine trees that blew over in the storms from Helene using the grapple. Still a fan of mine almost 2 years and 140+ hours later. Worked and out performed right along side dad's L4200 Kubota.

Thank you for sharing… this is what I’ve been looking for… as I’m thinking about a Kioti DK Cab Tractor. Right now I have a John Deere 3046r Cab Tractor with a 375a backhoe…. The backhoe is a step smaller than yours…. The Backhoe itself has plenty of reach and power…. Then only thing I don’t like about mine is the SWING is erratic. I have a lot of slop in my swing, and it is pretty weak compared to the Boom, Dipper and Bucket Cylinders. I also wish my stabilizer cylinders were a bit beefier too…. So my question is… does your swing system have enough power to backfill holes? And does your backhoe swagger much each time you use your swing? When mine is stretched out to full reach… I can just hit the L/R lever… and it will sway back and forth about 10” or more, and Have to go slow again for it to calm down before I can reposition. And yes… I’m a very experienced backhoe operator… grew up using Case 580B, 580C, 580D, 580E, & 580K, 580L, 580N backhoes…. Along with John Deere 310’s and 410’s…

If you push and swing in small bites, it will absolutely fill a hole or knock the top of a pile. It is not a "backhoe" like some people think they are. For a tractor attachment I am really happy with it's capabilities.

Neighbors father built one of those 2 years ago for his grandchildren, it uses a centrifugal clutch to a jackshaft to the rear transaxle
@wrenchbenders14 күн бұрын
I thought about going that route,but it was pretty easy to use the pully system that was on the mower and still using the belt that came with it. I have more money in tires and paint than the whole rest of the build. Not counting welder gas and wire.

On the duramax dually adapters do you have a part number or the exact make and model of the truck it came off of please this would be much appreciated or where to order them off of I looked everywhere and look on a bunch of forms and can’t fine anything …..thank you

They came off of a 2002 cab and chassis truck that a gentleman was parting out on FB Marketplace. They are a 8x6.5 to 8x200mm bolt pattern. I don't know where they can be bought from that look like the ones I have, however if you get 8x6.5 spacers (good quality ones) or the factory dually front spacers you can buy 19.5 wheels with a 8x6.5 bolt pattern. My brother-in-law runs 19.5s on his 2006 dodge with no special adapters (his was a dually to start with). If anyone is interested, I can make a video explaining how to do this with examples.

My Kabota L4 400 is running slower than it was before I did swap out the pump. Period. I may need to investigate adding a shim to the pressure valve.

@dr2casto i know with hydraulics flow and pressure can be tricky. Is it just slow when loaded or slow when unloaded as well?

All that is weighing down a factory 2500 that is not geared properly for the extra weight being added adding adapters is not the answer you need to change the differential
@wrenchbendersАй бұрын
The adapters came off of a factory conversation truck, and I have been towing with it having no issues. My father-in-law has a 1 ton crew cab that is stock and still heavier with the same gearing. I am not the first person to run a little bigger tire either. By your logic, I should have never added the tuner. Trust me, for a 20 year old truck, it is fine.
@michaelpreston2392Ай бұрын
Why didn’t you just put fluid in the tires!
@wrenchbendersАй бұрын
Could have done that and still might on the next set of tires. I just thought physical weights would be a good option with junk rotors laying around.

Yes, months later, and I am still really happy with the head unit, android auto connection, and touch screen. Only down side is no volume know, but I knew that when I installed it and use the steering wheel buttons most of the time anyways.

Congrats on 100 hours, and wonderful machines! I have the baby to yours a CK3520 and tons of attachments. First week I used the backhoe to lift the entire pickup bed off an old Dodge Ram, and am putting in hundreds of feet of french drains and catch basins. Best of luck and always be safe.

Yeah we using that for a while on toilets. The other day I tried it on the stainless steel counter we got in our shop and it got rid of the rust. So it dawned on me yesterday when I was using a wire wheel and various sanders on a metal hardware bin to prep for paint and I wonder if that there toilet bowl cleaner would work to get rid of that rust. So to see what other people have found out hear I am. Thanks for the video.

It was a special model that looked like it was an old company truck., Probably an aftermarket kit done by a conversion company. They do exist, but they are hard to find.
