The W198 and the R107 were the only "instant classics". All others had to go and are still going through neglection.

All I can say is when that r230 came out it had the greatest presence and would turn heads. Low, wide and reclined. Just looked like $$$ and importance driving down the road.

R107 didn't needed any extra safety features. You could drive the car through a brick wall and still reach your destination unharmed and problem free. Ein richtiger Panzerwagen

I have owned a 280SL Pagoda, an R107 500, several R129s (280, 320 and 500). I still own an R230. But which do I personally think is the ‘best’? Well, it depends what your criteria are for ‘best’. However, I would say, the R129s were the best built. The Pagoda and R107 look good but are not really that nice to drive especially long distance. Best to drive of the ones that I have owned? The R230……easily!

Something else to break. Seatbelt design was developed years ago and everyone hated it then. Go look at the seatbelts from Ford Escort 1988 had the similar mechanism. Yuck! Took 35 seconds from rear to front…. Try getting out after accident. I had a front end collision into a cement embankment at 50 mph and survived. The mechanics suck but can save your life. Unfortunately vehicle value far below purchased price took me a year to pay off difference after accident.

Maybe it's a weird opinion, but I really hate the mechanism that deliver your seatbelt. They are so incredibly prone to failing in all prior cars that had it. Maybe they've since then eliminated the issues.

The first Mercedes, SL 300. I think it is a red one is the most beautiful Mercedes I’ve ever seen in my life and I’m sad that I never get to drive it. I wish Mercedes bring back that kind of styling because that’s what makes the car really truly beautiful on the outside styles everything.

I love mercedes benz i have an E450 2022 i love the interior . But this new model's interior i dont like it . Black piano in.my opinion is not a option for my verry annoying and very easy to scratch . No real buttons is not for me .

After 3 years I'm glad to change my 200b AMG premium plus. The outside quality of build is poor to say the least. Panel gaps are inconsistent - up to 6mm gap at bottom of A pillar to an out of wind step between front wing and bonnet of approx 4-5mm. Cabin noise and ratttles were terrible especially for a Mercedes - I think it must be the panoramic sun roof. If the newer model is lower than mine, speed bumps should be negotiated with extreme care. Glad it's over.
