How does someone from NZ get to stay in the country so long? I am genuinely curious, don't mean any disrespect. I mean it is not a career that is extremely specialized.

Rip jenny. Just read a interview she done and it was fantastic, and heartbreaking emotional knowing she is no longer here. Which led me to this video, really lovely to hear how Jos seen them as a team and a winning team at that. Can only imagine how he and his family feel loosing such an incredible part of team/family/friend.

I love that this channel shines the spotlight on how special grooms are to each rider. I'm sure a groom can make or break a competition. The groom gives the care and stability for the winning triangle of horse and rider. It's awesome that their passion and dedication gets rewarded. Congratulations Sophie, it's your win as well.

Interesting. I've always wondered about what it was like to be a groom.

I know people don't like to talk about money but I'd love to know how much the grooms actually earn.

I just discovered this series and have watched all videos in one go. As a horse rider I could listen to these grooms' experiences and stories for hours. I'm not into the competition scene at all but it's nice to know that on the everyday life level the horses are well cared for. It's also nice for non horsey people to see that horse people are friendly and supportive and don't just stand at the ring bitching :)
