If you hear this sound in the wild, smile, it means the cat is mating or looking for a mate. You will not hear them when they are hunting. They are as quiet as can be when hunting.

The mini Great Horned Owl. Love these little dudes. One sits on my front door light fixture in the early morning. Just looks at me when I come out the door. Guy is a hunter. For his size… Like everyone else in the woods, he has to look out for the Great Horned Owl in the area, who alone with the big red-tailed hawk and the bald eagle is the peak badass in the forest. 😊

Some will tell you there's no big cats in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. I'd loved to have had some of those fools with me on anyone of three occasions in my home County of Ashe on the New River where I live and see what I've seen and heard. Then hear what they, the know nothing experts would've had to say afterwards!

While me and my family were going to my grandmas house on our car we heard loud screams and when we heard the scream me and my family immediately drove back home praying that the thing that screamed doesn't follow us and when I look back in our car I see a mountain lion or a couger following us, then a few month's later my family forgot about that day. It still hounts me In my dreams til this day
