Check out Neil Peart of Rush and his drum solos, especially until he switched to Drum Workshop Drums. The reason I say that is because once he switched and DW gave him complete control of his kits he made them more musical and melodic . His performance recorded in Frankfurt was awesome but even before there was more electronics introduced, Neil was smashing the Tama kits with surprising musical sounds. Check out YYZ solo from Exit Stage Left, where he used Bella and wood blocks, etc... I never cared a huge amount for Motorhead but I am a fan of metal and as you can tell, a huge fan of Rush. RIP LEMMY AND NEIL PEART

Great drummer- LOVE Lemmy and Phil, etc- but live, for quite a while, Mikkey was THE show for Motorhead- the one guy always getting into it, moving, a tornado of hair.....
