The fact that this song sounds somewhat sad, in my interpretation, represents that Bass, no matter how hard he tries, will never be able to defeat Mega Man, even resorting to cheap power he is not even able to defeat him, but something even sadder is that he is programmed to be like this and cannot change, but even if he fulfilled his goal of defeating Mega Man and becoming the strongest, what other reasons does he have to exist?
