Hi. I know your post is quite old so I’m not expecting a reply. My situation is I’m 54 years old. Been with my gf for 5 years now & she still won’t add me to any social media platform. No pics nothing. She has her entire life before meeting me on FB. All her friends, family, children & even lower down some pics of her ex husband. She says she now only uses it for “work purposes “. In our first year I had her proudly on my FB with many happy pics. She said she didn’t like that so for the last 4 years I have removed her. I do believe she loves me I just can’t understand why I’m the only person excluded from her FB & Ins. 🥹

Women didn't have rights in the 1950s. So men who should never have partners had access to women. Now we don't want men who are children. There are plenty of kind, caring and gentle men who are masculine. Not knowing how to do basic live skills is not fun.

I hear you. I get it. He told me to stop by his work before 3pm. I got there at 2 and he wasn’t there. He had to ‘leave early’, yet didn’t bother to give me a heads up.

7 dates the past 2 weeks with 7 different women. All of the first dates I found acceptable. All of them have refused my proposal for a second date. It's not men who are preventing the 2nd date.

Plenty of valuable information here. Thank you. Must admit though that it reaffirms my decision to remain single. Is there really no such thing as a man with integrity and values? You’re telling us that every man would have sex with any willing woman? Because quite honestly, I don’t want sex with a man like that. It feels very unsafe. A man who’d have sex with any willing woman is bound to be carrying a boatload of viruses, bacteria, funguses, and other pathogens. My health is excellent and I value it tremendously. Plus I don’t admire a lack of discretion in a person. My late husband, a heavy smoker from the age of 15, died of lung cancer with extensive metastases in 2015. I’ve been widowed for almost 9 years now. It was brutal during his treatment and for a few years after his death. But I’m doing very well now. My life is pretty great. Would a relationship with a man who’s a good match make life even greater for us both? Possibly. But not if it ruins my health. And this conversation makes me think a new man presents too much of a risk that’s not worth taking…😅

I’m a bit puzzled. At. 29:31 John said “ I have sex every day at 70 years old.” On another video I heard John say that he has sex once a week. And that the choice to do so was based on his knowledge of hormonal response to ejaculation. I believe his point was that it takes a week to get a woman’s estrogen and a man’s testosterone up to the levels required for strong attraction and great sex. Does that mean he and his wife have sex every day but without coming to orgasm, except for once a week? Does anyone know the answer to this question?

Plan and simple, he wasn’t attracted!!! Stop with the testosterone nonsense

I love John, now I don't think you should have sex with a guy without him explicitly committing to monogamous long term relationship with you only. You have sex with him, he got what he wanted, he leaves onto the next new woman and you end up heart broken. You have sex with him without commitment them you got to pretend you don't feel hurt when he doesn't call you. in his mind, you're the woman who gave him sex easily and he'll see you as a booty call/friend with benefits IF he calls you back. Extremely difficult to flip him into committing to you at this point. Check out Pat Allen.

We met on a dating site and met during the daytime. We spent an hour, then I left because I had to go to work. It wasn't bad, but it was nice. He seemed to like me too, I don't know. I didn't send any message that day. He didn't send either. The next day he texted me asking how i am. I said, "I'm fine, how are you?" in short, he said, "I'm fine too, let's talk if you're available in the evening," he said. I said okay. When he called in the evening, I was not available and could not answer. When I called him when I was available, he could not answer or did not answer, it was postponed until the next day. He called the next day. When I opened it, he directly said, "Yes, what do you think about our meeting, what do you think about me?" said. And I said, "You're sweet and nice, but I'm a little confused," and it was true, it wasn't a lie. He said, "Let's go on a 2-3 day trip and get to know each other better." But I said, "We've only met for an hour, should we go on a trip together right away?" He said yes, I can't decide on a long-term relationship otherwise," meaning I need to try it first. "Are you expecting sex on that trip?" I asked. He said yes. I said I can't, I can't get physically close in the second meeting before we get to know each other better, I'm sorry. “Then I wish you happiness,” he said. "Thank you, I wish you happiness too," I said. "We had a nice hour, it was nice to meet you." He said, "I was glad too, good evening," and we hung up the phone. My opinion is that he didn't actually like me at all, didn't find me beautiful. But he wanted to say goodbye with a conversation and a reason, thinking it would be rude not to call at all. He knew I wouldn't accept what he offered. He used her as an excuse and gently and indirectly told me that he actually didn't like me and didn't find me worth seeing again. I feel very damaged in my self-confidence. If he really liked me and attracted to me, he could have been more patient. His disrespect hurt my dignity. Help me 😔

We can have girlfriends. Most women over 55 do not bother with men as just someone to mother as often they have to work full-time anyway plus they will be bossed around or game playing. May as well stay alone rather than arguments or male mood swings or affairs.

If someone won’t be ur friend on social media 🚩🚩🚩 my now fiancée did this before he wanted to settle down. But as soon as we made it official it was not a issue. He is fine introducing me now and we are together everyday there is no cheating but he won’t post me. Well he will but not because he wants to. Makes me feel like he does not want to show me off. I wonder if he will be the same with our baby if I get pregnant or is it just me why they won’t post me?

he left me. abandoned me. discarded me: like last week's garbage. we were so close. he was my best friend. we went from texting all throughout the day and night, to now being complete strangers... the abandonment and the betrayal leaves me breathless. leaves me panicked, hyperventilating, suicidal. he left me with nothing but a 999-trillion pound weight atop my chest: suffocating and strangling me, and an ache inside my heart that just won't cease...

I agree with that "sour grapes" story. My example - when we got physically hurt our body shoots some chemicals very similar to opioids to kill that pain. When we got hurt in previous relationships, our brain also bocking that pain, turning us into - "I don't want that relationships anymore" . So true!

Want and need are two completely two different things. We may need food but we don't need romantic relationships. Someone might want cheesecake but it doesn't mean they need it. Women don't need men and vice versa. They might want. Wanting is not a need.

Want and need are yes two different things but when it comes to human relationships, we all want and need companionship, love, someone to hold. Touch is profound for the human species. Having a romantic love relationship fills that need

I need advice please before i go crazy i was able to concetrate Hi there I do really need help before I go to counselling or move on . my bf and i been together for 3 years best chemistry physically mentally .. Within after 2 years the relationship become up and down I became needy and he don’t want to spend time with me - because of work work - work - so the relationship begun to fall apart and told me to move on and of course It is so Hurtful. however the communication still there and we FaceTime for time to time - one day he went on a trip to see his kid 🤷‍♀ and I send him a Share my location . He didn’t accept and he told me to I will call you .. he didn’t return call or at least FaceTime me I assumed he’s seeing someone or whatever.. lots of questions on my head . I did the NO Contact strategy rule for 5 days and after 5 days he sent me a message about how I’m doing and he read my last text the last time ; however he didn’t tell where he was etc . I didn’t bother to return his messages. The question is - Is He’s Seeing Someone else , do I have to see and validate so I can move on ? I just don’t want to ask because he will probably making excuses again and make me needy desperate and pleading etc .. what shall I do , shall I let him be , shall pretend nothing happen ? Or shall check and spy on him ?Or wait until he call me . ? i felt hes seeing someone and he wont of course tell me so i woant get hurt or whatever . do i have to ask ? or let it be and enjoy his new girl .

He is correct. We have to be careful to not project unhealed trauma on others. Also, I noticed a lot of coaches for women(male or female) are unmarried and few have had real relationship experience. I appreciate what he says so much more for that reason.

Hi @bendohber4937 did she share the reason why she won’t put you on social media? Sometimes on social media there’s a lot of viewers and some people don’t like to make posts that everyone can see.

If she has a lot of followers, it means that she likes the attention she gets from the random men she follows or likes the photos of. If she posts you, then she would lose a lot of that attention. This also allows her to keep her options open. If you decide to bring this concern to her and she becomes defensive, it means she values this attention over both you and the relationship, which basically means she doesn't respect you enough or believe you are worth showing off. Don't believe me? Go to any of your social media accounts and look at the profiles of anyone in a relationship. Look at the women who eagerly show of their husband or boyfriend, even if he's not on IG or Facebook. Need more proof? Next time you two are out on date night, take a bunch pictures together and see which ones she posts and also take note of the caption. This situation isn't always the case, but if she has thousands of followers, regardless of account visibility, and continues to like photos of other guys with thousands of followers, then you're just placeholder until she eventually finds something better.

Men want respect in relationships, but they can't even do the bare minimum by watering the grass their in. It is best to leave situations like this and lose your peace.
