Hello, it is scan motor error you are getting. Either you have had a head crash or there could be an issue with the scan motor of the machine. Sometimes cleaning the encoder scale can help with scan motor errors or performing the limit position initialize on the machine.

Hello, if your plotter is too new for the software version you may have to update your software or potentially upgrade it to a more recent version If your plotter is similar to another on the available list both in size a manufacturer you could try selecting that one to see if it will work with your plotter as I have done this myself in the past

Have you ever had any issues with the LAN port itself no longer working? It used to cut just fine through the network then once day the material jammed and it no longer would send through the network. It works fine on USB, but now I have to look into getting a technician to come and fix it in person, if they even do that at all.

Hello, I haven't had an issue with the LAN port suddenly stops working, have you tried a new LAN cable to rule it out? If not try setting a new IP address on the plotter/software again just to rule it out Graphtec can carry out repairs on their plotters if required if you get in contact with them I'm sure they can assist you with your issue.

Ah ok you may have to use a 3rd party RIP software that can talk to both the other printer and the Roland as a plotter to have it all communicate correctly. Or try to setup the job in Versaworks the exact same way you setup the job in the other printers RIP software but you would have to print it with Roland reg marks for the Roland to recognise them for plotting

Hello, if you are referring to the cut edit tab that you can find the alignment in Rasterlink you have to select a job that has a cut line on it to be able to run the print and cut alignment.

For discharging ink and air that is in the head out of a port, to solve mixed colour and nozzle clogging problems. It is a preventative maintenance measure the machine will usually prompt you for every month or so

Usually it means the machine has not scanned the media width yet. If it says load media at the top of the screen you need to allow the printer to scan the media, if it says output possible the media has been scanned and sheet cut should be available.

Yes as a UV machine it will print onto pretty much anything you can get into it, some materials may need primer to get the ink to stick more though glass and metals usually.

After changing black ink for the first time, my Roland SG3-300 says, cannot read ink information. It prints, but with no ink level on new Roland cartridge. Any way to fix that?

Hmm could be an issue with the cart chip or possibly the IC reader on the printer itself. If the machine is so new I would raise a case with Roland as I'm sure you will still be under your warranty period.

No our demo model is fine but we don't keep them for long as we rotate our demo models from the showroom and we are on our second machine so far, plus they are demo models not production machines so don't get worked too hard.

Recently just downloaded the new version of rasterlink and lost all of my original setting mainly the media we use is solvent dark turbo 2020 but now when I go on it I only have the option for 2 media’s any advice on how to get the lot back , also when trying to print says TP detect error ? Sounds like you need to download more profiles for your Rasterlink, this can be done via the profile update found in the Rasterlink folder of your PC or if you have the profiles saved anywhere use the profile manager in the same folder. TP detect error is a crop mark detect error when the machine is attempting to look for crop marks but cannot find them correctly.

Make sure you have media in the machine first and it has been detected by the printer. Bi-directional alignment should be in the main menu just below or above calibration, if your VG is a later model it could be called media gap adjustment instead.

Hi there it would depend on which version of Signlab 10 you have, the full print and cut version has VPM built in which is a separate 3rd party RIP program and you would need that to print to your Mimaki printer. For the cutting I would say you need to download and install the Mimaki driver firstly from the Mimaki website then install cutting devices in Signlab to get it to cut to the Mimaki

My version seems to be ok and I cant seem to find anywhere in the program to increase this, you can increase the job thumbnail size using the slider bar near the job list or if overall it is small try changing your monitor resolution settings.

Normalmente, se o software não for igual ao da impressora, você precisará pressionar o botão Atualizar na parte superior do Rasterlink para atualizá-lo. Alterá-lo para detecção manual de mídia está nas configurações da impressora.

Hello, the majority of wrinkles will be flattened by the laminator rollers and shouldn't appear on the finished product as per the end of the video.

I have a Roland TrueVis VG3-540. My printer is printing lighter colors. It hasn't started doing this until now. I've had low ink cartridges on Orange, Light Magenta, Light Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta. However, I replaced those cartridges with new ones. Even Shook the cartridges. However, it is still printing lighter colors. I have done Nozzle Drop Tests and no issues. Tried Manual Cleaning, not the problem. Powerful Cleaning, not the problem. Still prints lighter colors than what VersaWorks shows. I have photos of what VersaWorks is intended to print, and what color the printer is printing on the vinyl. Do I need to do an Ink Renewal Maintenance? What do you think the problem is with my printer?

Hello, if all is ok with the nozzle print I would say it could be a settings issue possibly the colour management. Try generate job variation with multiple colour settings to see if any give different results
