Wow -- these middle schoolers had no idea how fortunate they were to be in the company of both these musicians. Both are absolute titans of their fields. I love the way that Lewis briefly coaxes an explanation of improvisation from Schick at the beginning (as though Lewis -- George Lewis! -- needs one). And Schick -- a person whose instrumental skills are virtually limitless (if you don't believe me, seek out some of his performances -- they're just staggering) -- is so approachable and friendly to the kids. Both of these guys are more than master musicians and writers; they're clearly also master teachers. Just a joy to watch -- thanks for making this available!

I felt very connected to the universe, my dogs, the homeless ppl below my 4th floor balcony. I cried because I realized I am just like them. The only difference is that I was on drugs in my house instead of on the streets. I had to stop judging and save space for them and myself.

I like how she essentially attributes the erasure of women's contributions to the civil rights movement as a product of sexism after describing their work as unglamorous and taking place indoors at night. Might King's contributions be highlighted more so because his contributions were more visible, more dynamic, and more glamorous, taking place in daylight in front of millions? The big issue with critical theories is that they imagine complex and alternate motivations behind simple issues like someone being remembered more than others because his contributions were more visible to the general public than those of the others. Is it sexism that hides their work and erases them from the history books, or were their contributions, while important, simply less dynamic, glamorous, and visible? Copying leaflets isn't one of those big attention grabbers authors tend to write about when recording history. When we look back on Woodstock, we think of the performers. Little is mentioned concerning all of the organizers, techs, and engineers that made it possible. Are we erasing them from the history books? Or are they simply less spectacular to the general public when retelling and looking back on that moment in history? Are we somehow prejudiced towards such actors in the past? Or do they simply fail to catch our attention due to the mundane (although essential) nature of the tasks they fulfilled.

so I am a man who likes men; you will call me gay, queer, homo, etc. I thought this to be interesting; at first I "noticed" how beautiful, handsome, and sexy, his voice, face, voice, and intellect, he had my attention 100%. then I lost him, I noticed the wedding ring ..I don't know what happened .......so do we pay attention more attention to attracting people,,,,, .he walks talks moves and chooses words like the person waiting at home is female........ok I am going to cover your face and body and just listen,,,,,,,,

How can he claim to have read Sunzi 孫子 and still say that Chinese strategists don't take account of "the other"? Sunzi's most famous saying is 知己知彼百戰百勝. "Know yourself and know the other (often translated as "the enemy"), and you'll win all battles."

I as a 47yo female was diagnosed with this as a young child. They thought I had apnea. My mother, both of my brothers and all 3 of my children have the same disorder. I'm wondering if there is a genetic link and if being young when it startex and female has any change to the odds of developing a neurological disorder.

I work with a lot of clients who have experienced physical, psychological and sexual violence that rarely access medical care, and are left to heal without appropriate medical support. I wonder if the lack of appropriate healing of these often quite brutal assaults may leave lasting damage to the person's nervous systems

What makes CTE difficult to legislated against is its progressive nature, the cause and effect are so spread out, its easy to ignore the cause or play it down. Just like smoking where the links to cancer were known decades before there was actual laws in place to limit it. I think people do not realize just how horrific an illness CTE actual is. Its a dark journey to madness for a young brain that should still have many decades of good mental health. This video was made 7 years ago and now seeing slap league as one of the feeds on my channel, if anything the laws have gone backwards. I am convinced any of the fighters today, if they could be transported for a moment into their older washout bodies suffering CTE they would stop in a heart beat and think no money of fame would be worth this level of suffering. My heart goes out to all those people suffering from CTE.

I got an Apple Watch series 9 after a recommendation by my cardiologist. At 20 years old I have AVNRT arrythmia, and that apple watch gave me the ability to finally prove to my doctor that I actually had something going on by creating a simple ECG. Now I'm getting an ablation next week, all because of a watch.
