It’s mentioned here because the bachelor party were making homophobic remarks to the brother. Seems to me like they cared and were terrible to the brother about it. Homophobia is absolutely very real and should be taken seriously.

I had a college grade best friend named Shane, it took years for him to be sure, as his best friend i'm the first he confessed to, I helped him, supported him and he now lives a happy life as an 100 sure gay guy. Now wokes are trying to tell kids they might be gay, or have the wrong gender. I'm homophobic, but I respect respectful gays, that don't show it too much within the street to respect children's innocence, that don't try to make up with me whereas they know I'm straight.
