"wabić się" means "to be called" but only referring to pets. On its own, "wabić" means "to lure" ;)

Super!! Bardzo pomocne! Bardzo dziękuję, cały kanał jest w ogóle świetny^^ Coś co przyjaciółka powiedziała - byłoby fajnie, gdyby podczas pokazywania obu wyrazów (przy pokazywaniu, które jest właściwe), wymawiała Pani oba słowa, także to niepoprawne, żeby lepiej nauczyć się różnicy. Dla niej na przykład E i Y brzmią tak samo, i nie potrafię jej wyjaśnić różnicy, one dla mnie brzmią tak różnie... A takie porównanie niepoprawnego słowa z poprawnym może by pomogło

Can you (or anyone) just recommend a Polish book as good for beginners ? I have found knowing the alphabet is not enough to read Polish with understanding. For instance, somebody once recommended Winnie the Pooh but even with the quite good Polish vocabulary that I have, that is still far too difficult for me.
