I saw him twice in concert. 1980 and about 2010(?) Both excellent shows. And he still had his old band mates at the later concert! Kansas City.

I had an 8 track tape of this in the early 70's. I remember listening to it one hot summer day rolling up the Turner Turnpike to Tulsa to see my girl. I drove through and over those hills. Good song, good days and a great girl . Been married 48 years.

Hal Rugg was definitely a great player, but every time I approach him at the steel guitar conventions he was a complete prick unlike the other steel players.
