I personally loved this series, but I was far more focused on the characters, their relationships, and their growth rather than the plot itself. Every single character in this drama is flawed, some more than others. I get that you didn't like the main guy with yi seo, but I found their relationship to be the heart of the series -- they were both flawed, yet their strengths complimented the other's flaws so nicely and they helped each other grow the whole time. Also, about yi seo being a sociopath, was more so just an exaggerated opinion by her peers. They later made it pretty clear that she had SOME sociopathic tendencies, not that she was flat out a sociopath, and she was clearly in therapy to work on them since she was a child, so it's not as black and white as "sociopath/not sociopath."

The action was unrealistic, but the story, writing, drama, costumes, settings, performances, soundtrack, production values, etc etc etc were TOP NOTCH. But her critiques are all valid.

I felt zero chemistry between Yi seo and Saeroyi. They were better off as friends. I was rooting for So Ah and Saeroyi to get together in the end and was excitedly waiting for a kiss but was heavily disappointed in the 15th episode. I never finished the 16th.

The Korean version is really solid adaptation of the original material into a classic K drama. Yes you might not find the things you loved about the original, but you need to change your point of view and view this a solely what it’s spelled as : a Korean rendition of suits. And honestly it works really well: being a huge K drama watcher, there was everything you can ask for a Korean show while also paying respect to the original series. I decided to watch the Korean version first coz I knew the original is a HIT (tho I had seen some episode and knew the concept of the show) and I can say that they match up pretty closely: maybe what you miss is the 9 SEASONS and all the stories and stuff from the original show, but the Korean version make you feel as much emotions without having to overexploit the concept and characters. 1 season with 16 ep was enough to make a good narrative arc (with an opened ending, letting you imagine what you want after the end) and I honestly think that American shows should get inspiration from K dramas for their running time: do less season and more quality shows instead of dragging a series (apparently not the case for suits but still). What really sold me the show was the throwback to the line of “I want to hold the card” showing how similar they were to one another.

Im a bit sick of the dramas...Is there nothing similar like: Extreme home makeover, Great British bake off, hells kitchen, Jamie oliver, anything like those kind of "everyday life" shows, Reality shows, cooking shows, gardening shows that you can watch or does korea only have kdramasand nothing more in there country?
