My wife and I are on a Princess cruise embarking from Southampton on Sunday. We don't have the option of getting our Medallion posted to us in the UK, so we have to pick it up at the port. Hello there. The wife sailed on the Enchanted Princess. My wife plays slots and I play craps. No idea how many points we accumulated, but collectively we spent about $900 in the Casino throughout the duration of our cruise and we came home with a little over $700. On the last day, my wife received a $250 come back offer and I received $150. Does win vs loss play a factor in the point system? We also put down $100 each on future cruise deposits. When we went to book our next cruise, they told us we could not apply the Casino come back offer with the onboard credit we received from the onboard future cruise deposit.

Good information. Their app is awful. I tried to look up the ocean now and was not able to see any of their packages as they were overlapping one another. I could see the premium the best. But I have had nothing but problems with the app. Their site is not much better. You would think with the investment they make to attract customers they would make their app and site easy to navigate and user friendly. But thank you for the information.

June 2025 and splurging on a mini suite. It’s my first time in Alaska, and after Caribbean cruises since the 90’d (and one in the Panama Canal, I’m going to have fun come rain, shine, fog or snow. 😂 So far it’s been everything I’ve expected: higher costs, etc. but I’m glad you warned people - this isn’t the Caribbean. So far I’ve had 2 friends do Alaskan cruises this past summer and they were stunned and overwhelmed by the experience. I hope to have the same feeling. And my puffer coat and reversible fleece coat arrived a few days ago. 😂 All this just makes me think - Iceland or Greenland next? 😄

I used to buy a package with RCCL because it was all compassing until we reached Diamond. Now, with 4 free drinks each, it's no longer necessary.On Celebrity, i do upgrade to the premium.

Did 2 bedroom aqua theater on Allure of the suite and a conceare suite on regent seven seas loved both but Allure won hands down

I just came back from an Alaskan cruise on Royal Princess. It’s very convenient and easy. I actually left the medallion at home but got another one for free after getting on the ship at customer service.

We have a March 2026 cruise on Celebrity Ascent in a Aqua Sky Suite our first time in a suite and the experiences it offers. Ounce we experience this We will look to try a luxury line smaller ship for our first cruise in Europe when my wife retires in 2029. Thank you for the vlog on a interesting topic.

Excellent video Rob! I was struck by your observations as to ship populations. The luxury lines are a very self selected population. They are very homogenous.

As much as I'd love a Luxury cruise, i think I'd opt for a Suite, depending on the ship and perks, because there is so much more to do.

We have cruised Carnival and RC previously. This fall we are going on our first HA cruise (7 day Eastern caribbean), and selected the "have it all" pkg. We originally chose HA because they have a priest on board, and we wanted to go to Mass while cruising. REally looking forward to this cruise in NOvember.
