If you don’t have the air filter (high flow) you don’t ‘need’ the race ECU. The stock on is fine since you just changed out the silencers and cat is still in the bike.

Thanks for your review 🙏 It helped me decide. I love the 899 but insurance says 848. Wasn’t a fan of the undertail exhaust heat from my 04 R1 and I wouldn’t be a fan of this via the seat heat or vibrating. Glad you made this review!

Obviouslyyyyyyyy 🙄, I just got the bike when I made this video. I currently ride a diavel 1260s. Not sure what qualifies someone as a “Ducati rider” but I’ve been riding ducs since 2017. I’m no professional, but I certainly love riding them and everything about them. Have a good one 👍

Timing belt needs to be changed every 7,500 miles??????? Holy hell. Could you imagine if cars were built this crappy? That one sentence alone is enough to keep me from ever owning a Ducati. I've owned other Japanese sport bikes for years and only had to do minor maintenance things to keep them going. Definitely no timing belts. 🤣

The location of your license plate, do the toll camera capturers it? I live in NYC, we have speed camera on every block, which sucks cause speed limit is 25mph, because the dry clutch it feels like I’m better peddling the bike than revving it.

I have driven through tolls with the bike and have never received anything in the mail. If that answers your question.

Don’t buy this bike if you live in a city. Really hot in stop and go traffic, can’t do U turns (horn button hits the tank yikes!), mirrors just reflect my arms and shoulders, really bad fueling at low rpms (very choppy and rough), not good at slow sharp corners. But once you go above 130kmh its nice. Fast sweeping corners feels very planted & it looks very sexy.

I’m a new rider. Why is it a bad first bike? What’s a good alternative? Thanks
@kingspencer72 жыл бұрын
It’s just a lot of power for a first bike. Someone younger or less responsible who’s never experienced something fast before could seriously hurt themselves on a bike like this. That being said, there are people that go out and buy a 1000cc bike as a first bike and are totally fine. But to me, a first bike is like a first car. There’s a good chances you’re going to drop it or crash with it. It happens. So a new rider would be better off getting something cheaper and less powerful. If you’ve never road in your entire life, I’d start with a 250-400cc. But that’s just me. I can’t tell you what to do.

@lrowlands53 Жыл бұрын
Ahhhh, like the man said, it’s an open road bike that doesn’t like sitting in its heat which is typical of city riding. Don’t worry about the dramas of ‘upgrading’ the cooling. Just ride it in the way it was built for. Easy.

I have termi slipon. But do I need a race ECU as well? Did you notice any difference? What does therace ECU do that the stock ECU doesnt do? Regards! I have a 848 evo.
@kingspencer72 жыл бұрын
You don’t need the race ecu to run the slip on. The other ecu I have is properly tuned for the exhaust and intake I have.
