Can I use the same fluid for a 2018 cx5?

I have a 2014 cx5 fw drive and I try to do all I can to save$$ but for the life of me, I cant find the drain and fill plugs on the front transaxle/ gearbox,or whatever you call it. I tried following the camera shot and it's hard to know where you are. At first I just tried to find the drain plug/bolt. It should be easy bc it's big. I can't find it! Help!! What year I this cx5 you are working on?

I'm working on my old f350 that the guy broke the o ring on his bottom frame filter. He said he did it right it ran for 10 min and just died. I had to give him the bad news that he broke the o ring by over torqued it. He than had to go to the parts store and get a new cap for the top filter after he over torqued it and broke it. 70 bucks later, it's running like a top. 50 plus tax for the cap and new o ring and the rest in fuel and gas. Tips not included

I believe someone replaced the cap on mine, because the 36mm socket is too small. Either I need a 37mm or it's non-metric. WEIRD.

What is the normal interval for doing transfer case and read diff fluid change?

Everyone read this filter it's not meant for installation of diesel engines, that modification can cause a serious explosion injury or death.

Make sure when you put that new primary filter in that you rotate the filter so that the weep hole on the filter is at the top.

If you're doing the entire vehicle, including plastic headlights, you may want to invest in a rattle can of two part clear coat. It's comparable to the clear coat that's originally on the vehicle. Without clear coat, the plastic lenses will yellow and haze from UV and ozone in a year or two. With a single part clear coat, you'll get another year or two of shine, but with a couple of coats of two part (2K) clear coat, the shine will last 10+ years. A stem is inserted into the bottom of the can to break an inner seal, you shake the can to mix the two parts and you have 30 minutes to spray before it hardens in the can. If you can't remove the plastic lenses, thoroughly mask the vehicle to prevent over spray.

The allen wrench is a 6mm not a 7/32" If you use the wrong allen wrench you could strip the head.

Thanks for the great video. What was the red stuff once you put the pan back on. I'd think anti-seize but looked to be all around the pan. Also I assume you applied the new gasket to the pan and the just raised it up and bolted it on. Any problems keeping it in place?

Good vídeo Im not sure why but oil change videos I see don’t show how to change the fuel filters too I would assume that fuel filters need to be replace when doing oil change on diesel vehicles

you don't question why red oil is removed & blue is added? hate to tell you this, but red is a primary colour. you can obtain it, but only by mixing yellow & magenta (purple). i really don't see anything in that engine that could produce a dark red, so some idiot has added the wrong transmission oil. he's only made it worse by mixing yet another type of oil in this slurry.

Can this filter being clogged cause a no start?

mazda hypoid gear oil SG1 75w-85 is GL-4 not GL-5.

This so much easier than Subaru. That’s why I sold my forester😅
