Also... could you feed the waste gates through the lower tailgate onto a rear valence... as much downforce to you need to keep the ass end squatting??
@Group-D27 күн бұрын
The wastegates are under the turbos and dump before the subframe. It impossible to generate under car downforce on these cars as the rear is just a tube fame with no panels behind the rear wheels. If you did panel the rear they would be ripped off in no time and make the quick servicing of the car a pain. Also the cars run at too much angle to try to work the floor aero wise
@cornishmafia426 күн бұрын
Fair one, I get what you're saying about the easy access bit etc, I can relate to your driving style! What about a simple set up like an old car spoiler upside down or a bit of sheet metal with some swages for strength and bolted across the rear underneath. Or fixed to any lower tubes frame. Your one of the og Irish drifters and a falken driver in fd, I've done bangers, rods and grass roots drifting so don't know f**k all but always try and think outside of the rules box!! Can't wait to see her on track again, your builds are next level. Do you want to finish my nova?! Time attack with all your imagination would look epic!

There the french Champion pilot, Alex François who run a rear mounted turbo on his gt86. The piping was made by Pepinox, a french fabricator. Alex was not succesfull in drifmaster but he never complain about the added turbo lag.

Mental doesn’t even do it justice. Too bad you can’t use a bit of nitrous to get it into boost quicker. It might be worth while to plumb it in for times when it’s available. Just a 50 shot to get it to spool.
@Group-DАй бұрын
By the time this is fully developed then i will be happy with the boost threshold. There should be no need for NOS

@@Group-D we used a used Porsche variable turbo with good success. It adjusted down to spool quickly then opened up to provide the volume we needed. Overly complicated for track use though.
