13:00 OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! you really stimulated a spark within me when you mentioned Pokemin Colosseum. To me that's my number 1 favorite game out of all the gamecube games I have. I bought that game by accident at a swap meet of someone selling gamecube games at that time when I was little. I asked for Super Smash Bros. Melee but when I opened the case, it wasn't the game but Pokemon Colosseum. First, I had doubts of playing it but i still tried and till this day, i have never regret of purchasing the failed game case because the game felt much better than super smash bros. Melee( I played it before with neighbors). But seriously, I regret now of not paying any attention of Nintendo's accessories such as the link cable to recoeve jhoto pokemon from Colosseum to the Polemon GBA games.

My dream would be they can make another spin off game like it but for modern consoles. I couldn't get into the latest spin off Arceus as it felt like I was just a Pokemon farmer, who literally had to catch em all over and over. Agree with the accessories, I think Pokemon Bank filled that gap for awhile but even that is gone now. Maybe if they did a device like a tamagotchi/digivice and you could raise your Pokemon from a game outside while you weren't playing then it levels up in game when you go back or gets stat boosts. One can dream haha

@@Astralbeargaming I think we had a device similar which is pokewalker but during the time when Heartgold and Soulsilver first came out. There also was the e-reader card scanner that I missed out on when I was little. I agree with you that Nintendo should bring back these games to the Switch and Switch 2 but who knows when that will happen. Yes, I started to grew tired of Pokemon right when Black and White came out but I still rather play Black and White 1 and 2 than the rest of the Pokemon games that come after those releases.

ohh I missed all the Pokemon accessories then. Hopefully the next main game has more finesse than the last releases, especially if the switch 2 capability allows for better performance.

Aladdin is one of my earliest memories of beating a game and Lion King is one of my earliest memories of absolutely giving up out of frustration over a game. I think the snes remains my favorite console all these years later. Too many good games to name them all; super mario world, dk country, super metroid, castlevania, demon's crest, f-zero. And on and on into infinity. Great video!

The Lion King was so unforgiving, I am glad when they remastered it for modern consoles it had features like rewind. The SNES library is truely special.

@@JessicaReaves-ur8vb Hi, you can use quick save at any point. If I remember correctly it is the left bumper button for Nintendo Switch. Don’t need a physical copy, I had a digital copy and worked just fine.

a little late to the party, but I think you really made a good overview. Things like controller sync I didnt even consider. I used this holiday sale to pick up some games and really enjoy them as some small flexability and cardio exercise. I think they are a great addition to 'real' sports.

It's been confirmed by Gematsu, The Switch version in the west has been cancelled. Well... this sucks. I have no clue why Idea Factory made up their mind or Nintendo changing their policy right away?

@@Astralbeargaming Hi Amanda, the default is Performance mode. There is also Balanced (which I used mostly) and a Graphics mode. There is no "Fidelity" mode on the PS5. Hope that helps clarify the issue. 🙋🏻♀

I feel the same way as you do. After 2 hrs (demo) decided not to pursue it. For anyone with accessibility issues, this game should be investigated closely before purchase as the settings under Accessibility are sparse (to put it politely).

@Astralbeargaming I almost bought it based on the great reviews and awesome trailers - but the price here in NZ is very steep (for you probably too), so I hung back. I happened to notice the demo bc I subbed to PS+ top tier for 2 months, and that gives you access to the "trial" version (2 hour limit). Why the demo isn't freely available to everyone on PSN is beyond me.

This doesn't LOOK very good to me but... It's a shmup and it's on auction on a local site and it's cheap (for now) so may well pick up anyway. Good to know there's a different element to it rather than just the mediocre looking shmup section. Decent review. 👍

@@gloverdragon6854 Digitally you can get them all outside Japan. Some have slightly different names like Retro Mystery Club for the VN. Physical copies are a different story, I believe limited run games printed Golf Story. Brave Dungeon is also getting a retail release this year but not sure if it is just in Japan.

It does, indeed, reminds of Cotton series. They are shoot 'em ups with cute witch, Cotton, in main role. Latest installement - Rainbow Cotton Remake is first in 3D so it's closest to this game in looks, but of course gameplay is different

Thanks for watching. Yes otome games do have a more niche audience than plain VNs. Especially for western audiences. On the flip side the market size and popularity of them in Asia is huge.

Interactive fiction like visual novels or point and click derivations are a very attractive shiny mine that I dont dig in too much, but if you have sometime you should check Anchorhead or King of Dragon Pass they are intersting games, also other similar foundational game like Myst (the 2021 remaster) can be an insightful journey to experience

Wii Fit is not switch compatible. Ring Fit Adventure was the switch game that replaced Wii Fit. It has a lot of the same exercises/ yoga poses and more. I think it was a welcome upgrade too.
