I must be old, what's wrong with a standard clutch? and 7/8 handlebars?
@farreachoutfitters4 күн бұрын
Honestly, nothing. I prefer the look of a fat bar. The clutch is fine, does the job required of it and is dead simple. But the performance DS bikes from other companies are all going hydro, and no significant difference in price point. My husky 501 is hydro and it’s when the shit gets tough hours in, it’s nice.

Went into Honda today and at $13500 there goes looking for another 300La. Little worried about the value maintenance but at the price of a 300l with suspension upgrade, its a deal im struggling to say no to (even booked in my learners for the weekend as it expired)

I've been tinkering with the 450 for nearly a year now and I've amassed ~4500km, in this time I've been able to dial it in for my riding, I enjoy it more everyday.

👌 Nice! I run a 53 tooth rear sprocket as well. Only downfall mechanically is the chain guide block gets warn away quickly.

Can anybody please comment on the wisdom or lack there of, of putting Kenda K784 big block dual sport tires on my 500 scrambler? I live and ride mostly off-road, good gravel, dirt, roads and some sort road trips. Any input appreciated!!!

Pretty sure the stall issue is just a matter of not using more clutch to feather out. I've had the opportunity to learn different clutches on hill climbs. And whatnot. So i've learned fast from the gate to use more clutch if required. Fixed alot of what these people say is (on off throttle) anyways hope that helps! Happy riding.

As far as the bat firing and flaming out it is all on the valve adjustment what happens is the exhaust valve gets too tight because the clearances are so close it needs to have a little more valve clearance that will stop it from flaming out and stop it from burning the valves is the two of our job on this bike will cost you every bit of $1,500 to do it right use Campbell White valves are the best take the titanium ones out put stainless steel ones with chromium probiotic that will last forever and you won't have to adjust them all the time have a nice day

It’s 60 lbs heavier than a 350excf for one, the clutch is terrible and even with a GET ECU it’s not as good as the excf. I had an RL and have always liked Honda, this bike is not that good bud.
