I skated here Tuesdays and Saturdays sometimes t0 4 am in the morning bob was my favorite dj to skate to but I never had a bad time at empire

EMPIRE..."It's all because of you.." I reconnected with my. 8's late in the game after skating for a couple of years in 1980 out in USA in Queens. I was too caught up in the clubs. Glad I got to live it and experience it. I was there when they confirmed the rumors. It was like a sucker punch in the gut. This video brought back all the tears and the memories. I went to every session from when they announced it until they closed. It will live in me forever, and my skates will stay on until the next life! RIP Empire!!

This broke my heart! And we wonder why the world is F’d up right now! People were barely maintaining back then and these are the things that people held on to, to stay sane and United. This skating rink should still be there
