Just tried this works really well however it clogs your airbrush often and when you are done your airbrush must be striped and cleaned because it leave a gunky reside. Just know that going it I will use it again

Just bought on Amazon. So excited for the diecast armour. I may add some bolts inside so that it's heavier. I love this tank. "The Russian Colossus".

Nice review.....But Airbrushes last forever if you take care of them. I have a Badger Patriot 105 that I've had for well over 20 years with the same needle and it works just like the first day I bought it.

Hello, I am considering buying this kit and I came across your review. Thanks for nice unboxing. By the way, did you managed to build it? You wrote in some comment that your bench is ghosttown since 2018, is it still true?

Awesome, Egg Kit Bash, Clem. Love it! And thanks for the heads up on those clear circle templates. I have an orange one that doesn't have that many circles on it. Total rip off at like 8 quid each! I was obviously looking in the wrong places. But just ordered 2 of yours from ebay £4.78 for the two! Bargain, or what!! Wish I knew about them before. PS. And, I'm the first to comment, again! 😁

I've just started getting into Egg Planes. I love 'em! Yes, I'm a very late comer. Lol. Yeah. Since a lot of these Eggs don't include a pilot. I thought the same idea, too. I have a few spare Warhammer heads. I straight away thought of Ork heads. But I think I might go with Tau or Death Korp of Krieg. Failing that. I do have a F/A 18 Hornet coming soon. that does have a pilot included. So will make some copies from Blue Stuff Moulds. But I still will go for a Warhammer head or two for laughs. Excellent video, Outback. I'm surprised I'm the only one to like and comment after 9 years! It's a crime that you haven't. Until now that is... 🙂🙃 ATB. Outback. 👍

How about this: if I ran the airbrush cleaner through my airbrush onto dried floral petals? I want to reinforce the petals, but the crevices are so little, I was hoping to use some kind of glue via airbrush instead. Thoughts?

I also use the airbrush cleaner, much cheaper and 99% the same as the extra thin glue

I just bought this again after one of my cleaning ladies trashed it. After starting this kit again I don't blame them for trashing it. Tons of Flash, poor molds and engineering. This is going to take some work to make this look good.

All the aftermarket pe in the kit puts me of this build. Got this at a IPMS swap meet for a steal. I’ll get to it one day. Sorry to hear the cleaning lady was careless while cleaning. Thanks for stopping by.

I’m a TOTAL tank-guy. I built a A SUPER detailed WW1 British “ Female “ tank. Very small, but a very decent kit! BUT my all-time FAVOURITE tank was the, (no racism) NAZI Panzer IV-(V=5/ I=1) MEANING 5-1= 4 Panzer “4s” with “Shirtsin”- ( plate armour ) over the tracks/ wheels are Great! BUT……it gets even BETTER. The panzer “4” CONVERSION into a “bergenpanzer” being a straight-up recovery vehicle is ABSOLUTELY the BEST version of my all time FAVOURITE tank. Will build someday.😊

Are plastic generic brushes impervious to the solvent? What material is impervious to melting? I don't want to use my natural brushes for this purpose.

I've just started using some SMS Advance paints, mainly for small details that are too hard to mask. The initial impression was not good, but I found that the SMS Leveller was essential to allow brush painting. Straight from the bottle, the paint was pretty much dry before I could get it onto the part. It's a bit frustrating as I now have to mix a tiny amount in a milk bottle cap every time I want to use it, but the result is pretty good. I think Scott should change the labels to state that you must use leveller. The other problem is that it reacts with Tamiya acrylics and basically melts them, so be aware of that. I haven't tried airbrushing it yet as I am mostly using the SMS Premium Acrylic for that. The SMS Premium is amazing. It's nice being able to just pour it straight into the cup and start spraying. I haven't had to thin it at all. I only have an old Tamiya Spraywork airbrush, which puts out around 12 PSI. It will be upgraded to an SMS Dragon Air when I need to start doing some fine detail. Even the SMS white covers really well. I had to spray a white section over the top of some Vallejo Prussian Blue acrylic as I had forgotten to do the white section first, but it covered it beautifully with one application (several light coats). The surfacers are awesome. Such good coverage and easy to sand. And the metallics are amazing as well. Super silver gives a beautiful finish over the jet black, and cold tone hyper chrome looks fantastic.

here is my recipe for thin cement, which works exactly like Tamiya.... 50% lacquer thinner + 50% Acetone this will have much less odor than cellulose thinner/ lacquer thinner on its own, and less odor than Tamiya thin cement... the acetone facilitates fast clean evaporation, with some solvent power, the lacquer thinner is the stronger solvent that melts the plastic. enjoy ;O)

Just ordered em from gap games in brissy! Pretty cheap and even if they don’t last a long time they’ll be a good medium level brush in between my works horses and the ones that I bring out when I’m feeling special! Interested in how they feel to hold with that shape. I’m either gonna love or hate it haha

I use it all the time, it's just as good as the ordinary Xtra thin cement, because it's in fact 99% identical with the same two ingrediences only the ratio is a little different.... You can't compare with the quicksetting, because i contains a ekstra ingredience
