Thank you for the inspiration! When I hear in the gym, I got to the top, it does not matter how. I reply Lynn Hill says it is not if you get to the top but how. Like you said it is a dance. It keeps me and my wife centered and calm. We met in the gym and have climbed in Texas, Switzerland, Germany, France and Mexico, certainly not at your magical level but we have fun and stay inspired and hope to inspire are kids. :-) The climbs have gotten less daring but not less fun. Thanks for inspiring us @LynnHillClimbing Gentiana + Isaac PS, my wife's parent met climbing, thus the name.

When you were talking about reducing stress during performance and still being confident it reminded me of the yerkes dodson law. Being too stressed or not stressed enough results in underperformance

I surely know who Lynn Hill is, a great inspiration for many generations of climbing women. But I don't have any idea of who that nasty guy is, trying to do the sexist clown for that unknown tv show. Lynn is the queen 👑, she is in an other level.

She's an icon. What an inspiration for young women! That Alex Honnold did the entire route solo continues to astound me.

Alex did NOT free solo the Nose! He did an easier route called, Freerider. It is still a very impressive feat for sure!!!

Such patience with the typical laymen interviewer who doesn't understand climbing. We met briefly in Yosemite when you were working on bouldering ML. 1997 or 98? Stay strong.

@@bd-pl7oo You see, the issue concerns the loony woke nonsense that one cannot speak the factual truth if it flies in the face of the popular propaganda. Make no mistake, what Lynn Hill did some 30 years ago was somewhat impressive, but as a former free-soloist myself who KNOWS what real commitment is on the rock, when one (regardless of gender) is roped the commitment is not really all that amazing. At no time was Lynn at risk of dying when she did the Nose sans aid, but when Alex-the-God (no relation to Charlemagne-the-God, that useless clown) free-soloed Free Rider he essentially trivialized every climb and climber before him. End of debate!!

Saw this with my own eyes one day, back in the day. Today I told my 9 and 12 yr old nieces that the biggest rock they saw on their visit to Yosemite, yeah they knew the one, this woman was the first to climb it with her own hands and feet only, no help from the equipment. They liked that. Thanks Lynn!

I remember watching Ron Kauk, climbing Midnight Lightning in an old VHS called Painted Spiders and thinking “that looks really hard”. Then I saw Lynn climbing the same boulder like it was 5.10 . That’s when I knew her technique was something else. By the way, I was born in Lake Garda and seeing Lynn climbing on the overhangs of Massone brought back memories!
