I made my own little tire Changer save me 50 dollars
@WindRider12 ай бұрын
I put a 34 tooth on the front and a 65 tooth on the rear of my 1997 Ultra Classic. I did a lot of highway riding at the time, 1000 plus miles a week. 80 cubic inch motor with a 5 speed transmission. I cruised at 75 mph at 2000 rpms. I also got 70 plus miles per gallon on the highway. I had no problem downshifting to pass or speed up. I traded the pulling power for the mpg.
@johnnyreb33592 ай бұрын
It changed my ratio and I was continually shifting to 4th. The stock ratio is 32/70. Dropping 5 teeth on the rear and the 32 on the front made it a higher ratio. The trike kit also added weight.
@WindRider12 ай бұрын
What’s wrong with having to down shift when you are already going the speed limit to pass a car or speed up ? The 29 tooth with a 5 speed will be too much IMHO. Your mileage will go down.

HI Johnny, just started following this build. Looks great so far great job. I’m planning on picking up this kit for my 2003 Electra Glide after I finish a current build I’m working on. Now that issue with the lower shock mounts, you mention the DNA are meant to utilizes the stock shock mount on the bike frame. Do you know why Trike Life uses a shock relocation bar? Would there be any issue with the body kit if the bike shock mounts were utilized? Thx ED

Did you buy or make your muffler hanging brackets? I’m getting ready to start a build on an 02 Road King and can not find any brackets. Nice build.
@johnnyreb33599 ай бұрын
I used flat steel bar 1.25 x.25 and welded a tab on a 90 for the bolt 5/16 and used industrial conveyor belt for the insulating material

I ordered a solar light online & when I opened for inspection (due to online complaints about item "stopped working), I thought if I could find out the why 'no juice' issue prior to the vendor's 30-day return window, I would be able to keep the item in my front yard for a longer period of time, especially if it's only a matter of restocking the purples as soon as possible. I was surprised to see the single large size and color of battery. Esp as the online item description stated "AA Batteries." I sure was relieved to see your video.. Thank you very much for posting this as well as including the 2017 place & purchase price, I now have information on how to proceed in my search for purple batteries. I appreciate your efforts, sir! .~ Best wishes and warmest regards! ~

Nice good job Nice bike I like those pushrod tubes. I have an '05 Fatboy and I have a screaming eagle stage one and I have the banjo bolts, and the washes and the hose but I don't have that bracket for the air cleaner. The screaming eagle one has, the two big slots with the rubber grommets..?? can you steer me in a direction. Unless I just modify the screaming eagle air filter and whack those two aluminum tits off that go to the head and have a circular modified screaming eagle mount lol

Looks like you used the drag specialties kit. Was your piston non-ferrous? I just received the #46469 rebuild kit for my FXR and the piston appears to be anodized aluminum. Matte black. Never seen pistons other than chromed steel. Did your new piston work out ?

I made a diy breather under the bike with a filter. The M8 runs at a higher pressure, so it has more blow by, but that “breather” is an exit, couldn’t imagine how oily my motor would be with the filter mounted like that.

I fill my stuff ONLY with 91 octane NON-ETHANOL fuel. If I know I'm going to leave it in there for a while I'll add fuel stabilizer to it also just to make sure it stays good. It really is not that more more of a cost compared to the aggravation you'll endure trying to get it to work again when you really need it.
