A song by Finnish blues legend Pepe Ahlqvist, I had the privilege to be a part of, in the form of an arrangement. The lyrics tells a story about two lovers on opposite sides of the trenches during the Balkan war. Sharpshooters firing blindly at civilians trying to cross a vital bridge. Nothing has changed in 30 years.

Time traveler at 05.03 - 05.13 ? What do you think? The video is filmed in Paris, in the year 1972...

Wow, what a performance. I never though anyone could shredd Yngwe with sax. I love the dynamics and those staccatos in a chorus, brilliant idea. Virtuoso playing!! Thanks.

...the thing that hits me in this arrangement is how much it sounds like Beethoven on steroids. Paganini and Wieniawski thrown in for good measure. Love Malmsteen's music. A true inspiration. Please go and check out his original music too!

Wow! Thanks for the input. The original cd version is for alto sax and piano only. I modified the arrangement for this live performance to include Heikki Nikula's virtuoso bass clarinet as well.
I have dedicated this piece "Les Perles de Pluie / Larissa's Song" to my dearest friend, who has had an uphill struggle with anorexia all through her adult life. Many a time has she been near death, but as the fighter spirit she is, she's always coming back! This piece goes out to all of you who are struggling with big issues in your lives. <3
