They aren't indigenous at all.....And since when does skin color determine if a person is to be considered "Indigenous"? What about the Indigenous christians that inhabited Constantinople and were conquered by the Ottoman turks? What about the Scots who were inhabitants of scotland for as long as the natives inhabited north america? Are Scottish people considered indigenous? Why not? Skin color?

When i was a child we had a summercamp with the theme of first nation in America. We play the rolle of the Toscarora tribe. Does a tribe with this name realy exist or was that just a fantasy name for the Camp? Maybe i have to say, im Swiss and the Camp was in switzerland, so we realy dont know many things about the real first nation... We also choosed a name for this camp, i choss "tanzendes Wasser" who means dancing water. Would that be a proper name too? Last but not least, i read a book about a young and an old trapper who meets a Wolf, first they call them Mawoha (the bad) but the young renamed him as Ahyami (the good) and the old told him that Ahyami means more than that, it means Spirit of the Snow and he help to reach the afterworld.
