Amen! The very fact you CAN believe in Jesus IS AN ACT OF THE FATHER. Which means you ARE one of God's elect. 37 All that the Father GIVES me WILL COME to me, and whoever comes to me I will NEVER cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I WILL raise him up on the last day. John 6:37-40. 43 Jesus answered them, "Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 NO ONE CAN COME TO ME UNLESS the Father who sent me DRAWS HIM. And I WILL raise him up on the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, 'And THEY WILL ALL BE TAUGHT BY GOD.' Everyone who has HEARD AND LEARNED FROM THE FATHER comes to me- John 6:43-45. 63 It is the SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE AND; THE FLESH IS NO HELP AT ALL. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe." (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) 65 And he said, "This is why I told you that NO ONE CAN COME TO ME UNLESS IT IS GRANTED HIM BY THE FATHER." John 6:63-65. Give God complete glory for saving you. You didn't come to Christ of your own volition. HE CAME TO YOU and saved you! (Read Ephesians ch. 1. You who believe and have trusted in Christ were chosen of God, predestined, preplanned in advance before the foundation of the world to be His.) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.

James White does not know what a trustworthy text looks like. He reads from a text that has been so badly perverted by Codex Sinaiaticus and Vaticanus, that he no longer knows where the truth can be found. I honestly have to wonder what modern scholars will fall for next. James can make all the claims of a trustworthy text, but he places his faith in a text full of pseudepigrapha. While he has been for many years and NASB user, he now clings to the LSB as his main English text. The sad reality is that he once trusted the KJV. He was raised on it and trusted it until he began to study textual criticism. Codex Sinaiatius has polluted the faith so badly, that I began to doubt the trustwothiness of the text. The modern critical text will never be complete. It changes so often that believers have trouble choosing which version to trust. I am so grateful that the Lord was patient with my learning curve. I shall never again forsake the text of the KJV.

I thought that the evidence of my salvation was that I had believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. Not my works, love, performance, lifestyle or anything else. I’m just going to stick with trusting what Jesus says. And that is that anyone who believes on him has eternal life.

AMEN!!!! I'm suspecting this speaker is a Calvinist who, in reality, can never be 100% sure he's really "chosen" until he takes his last breath, so he looks subjectively to his works and feelings (the mysterious inner witness (botching of Romans)). This heresy has overtaken the aposticized local church. The theology of both Calvinism Lordship salvation and Arminianism are, in fact, reformed Catholicism, and none are the biblical gospel. 100% certainly of everlasting life is the very essence of saving faith, and completely resting in the promises of God is the only Way to salvation. My prayer is this man will read and surrender to God's truths in John's gospel.

Restored is a power word use to make you feel good about the distortion being taught about the true gospel. There is nothing restored, but a yoke of slavery to works perpetually “trying” to be good enough. It’s not grace my friend, grace is more glorious.

@@EternalYeild I'm not that impressed with the non-restored Gospel, a God with three entities no one understands and who sends 90% of humanity to hell for all eternity? Doesn't sound like 'good news' to me, sounds like 'bad news'.
@germanslice
@germanslice Жыл бұрын
@@EternalYeild Your reasoning does not come from the Gospel but comes instead from the Nicean 4th century creeds which are not part of the gospel of Jesus Christ of the New Testament for those creeds did not exist in the time of Jesus and his Apostles. Revelations Chapters 2 and 3 tells you just what kind of Grace that Jesus was offering to the lazy Lukewarm Saints to remind them about their duty to God to keep his Commandments with Diligence as the obedient Saints of Sardis had done which the lukewarm saints were NOT DOING so they were not worthy to walk in white with the Lord as the Sardis Saints and the lukewarm were warned about their lack of works that if they did not return back to that grace to do the good works of righteousness to do the Father's will then they they won't live with him and the Father and be removed from out of their place. So there's your Grace. You have to do stuff to remain under that grace. The Lukewarm Saints never got away with doing grace without effort for Christ had stopped them right in their tracks... Even after all Paul done on the earth, he still had not yet obtained the fullness of the statute or Christ or to the resurrection of the dead and was still pressing forward toward the mark. So he did not yet have the crown glory of eternal life. He did not get the crown in just 10 seconds of a sinners prayer either.. Even after spending his whole life in serving God and doing good works he still had not obtained the crown. Because he won't get it not until he rises up in the resurrection of the dead. There's no such thing in the gospel as not doing good works of righteousness in Jesus name. Because if you use Galatians to condemn the latter-day Restoration then you contradict also Bible Prophecy and contradict Rev 13:7 which John witnesses of the coming latter-day Restoration that God had showed him in vision how the everlasting gospel would be spread all across the planet in the last days and what the message of that messenger would be and also contradict Acts Chapter 3 which Paul also prophesied also of the Coming Latter-day Restoration to end the Apostasy. 'A Time of Restitution of all things' and that's why temples and prophets and apostles are back on the earth once more again like it was in days of old.....So If there was no Apostasy as you claim, then Jesus wouldn't have given the parable of the wheat and the tares to explain how the Apostasy would happen. After the apostles had sowed in all the good seed, then the enemy came along at night and sowed in all his tares... So there was an Apostasy. So if there was an apostasy then there has to be also an Restoration...If there was no apostasy there would not be all these tares among all the wheat.

@germanslice
@germanslice Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately this pastor has it wrong and does not understand Bible prophecy.And this is what happens when you WREST with the teachings of Paul. For if he only accepts what Paul said to the Galatians saints, then he condemns John's testimony who told us how the everlasting gospel will be restored back in the last days which he saw on earth in vision when the angle of heaven who came down to John showed John the vision. Is John now condemned because an angle of heaven came down to him preaching to him another gospel? Or did the angle show him the coming restoration of the everlasting gospel that would happen in the last days.For Jesus did not come to destroy the law nor the prophets. Paul didn't teach the saints not to keep the commandment of God, he is quoting the wrong verses of scripture for Paul taught the saints in his letters to keep God's commandments so they can have his grace to abide with them otherwise his grace will not abide with them if they were not obedient in following Paul's instructions and paul reminds us that those who do have this hope are to keep themselves pure and that means WORK... Even Paul himself had much more still to do for he had not yet obtained the fullness of Christ even after believing he was still pressing forward toward the mark. He had not yet obtained the resurrection of the Dead to lay hold upon eternal life and the crown because he was still down on the earth in the flesh working out his own salvation before God that is why he taught the resurrection of the dead and he taught also i 1 Cor 3 whether those works be of hay or wool or stubble or brick fire will try those works to see what kind of work it is, then a reward will be given based on those type of works. That's why there are three degrees of glory in the resurrection of the dead instead of just one degree because there is more than one type of work that is why there is more than just one degree of glory to inherit in the resurrection from God So Judgement from God will be not based on just only knowledge alone, but by the type of works that you also do...Which is taught very clearly in Matthew Chapter 25 how the works of both the righteous and also the wicked were to be judged and assessed by when they were all brought for judgement to stand before Christ to be judged of their works... The Lord expects certain works to be done by the righteous that's why he gave the parable of the Laborer in the Vineyard and the parable of the ten virgins.....Thats why he assessed all the works of the saints in those churches in Revelations and told some of the saints, you are not measuring up to me and my Father's high expectations. The Lord has high expectations we know this is true when Christ taught 'he who keeps all my sayings and teachings and DO THEM shall be likened onto a wise man that builds his house upon the rock,and he who keeps not all my sayings and teachings and DO THEM NOT shall be likened as a foolish man who builds their house upon the sand.So yes you got to do stuff in the gospel. Quite plain and simple from Jesus. So the latter-day saints have it right when it comes to exercising faith in Christ over a lifetime of doing righteous good works through relying on the power of the atonement to do them for when following the will of God through the Third Member of the Godhead the Holy Ghost is involved, the saints don't do the works of righteousness all on their own... God the Father and his Son have very high expectations, it is the same demands of the gospel also in Revelations Chapters 2 and 3 with the Saints of the New Testament. You find the same demanding Jesus in Revelations Chapters 2 and 3 demanding works of righteousness as you also find in the Restored Church because its the same Jesus. And those who had refused to do any of the works of righteousness were classed as being lukewarm. Where the Pastor is stumbling with Paull is he don't realize the another gospel to the Galatians Saints who were in apostasy is not the same gospel that John saw that was given to him in vision by the angle of heaven.

As a former Mormon now Evangelical I really enjoyed this. Great work. The law of Moses as a junior varsity law is taught in the Doctrine and Covenants 84:23-28 so this is where that teaching comes from. 23 Now this Moses plainly taught to the children of Israel in the wilderness, and sought diligently to sanctify his people that they might behold the face of God; 24 But they hardened their hearts and could not endure his presence; therefore, the Lord in his wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory. 25 Therefore, he took Moses out of their midst, and the Holy Priesthood also; 26 And the lesser priesthood continued, which priesthood holdeth the key of the ministering of angels and the preparatory gospel; 27 Which gospel is the gospel of repentance and of baptism, and the remission of sins, and the law of carnal commandments, which the Lord in his wrath caused to continue with the house of Aaron among the children of Israel until John, whom God raised up, being filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb. 28 For he was baptized while he was yet in his childhood, and was ordained by the angel of God at the time he was eight days old unto this power, to overthrow the kingdom of the Jews, and to make straight the way of the Lord before the face of his people, to prepare them for the coming of the Lord, in whose hand is given all power.

How can it be a different gospel when we believe in the same KJV bible as you? Calling Joseph Smith wicked and deceiving as you profit off slamming another Christian church? Like the LDS church is akin to the Chinese Communist party actually rewriting the Bible to deceive Chinese Christians? You are just like the Pharisees.

1. We don't use the KJV at our church. 2. The gospel isn't defined by which Bible translation you use. 3. The LDS church is not Christian. Joseph clearly stated that he was starting a new movement because churches like ours were apostate.

1:54:30. Kwaku doesn't need those philosophies of men to understand scripture. Kwaku has more words from the that same God who told Moses, Paul, and so on and so forth, to help him understand the scriptures. That is a better source. That is the situation every time a writer or speakers says something you didn't understand and has other works.

1:51:15. "...a God who is like them..." Good thing he isn't describing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; though, I think he was accusing that of being us. It was dishonest of him if he was accusing us. The Lord has something to say about dishonesty in Exodus chapter 20 and other places. My God is not like me in perfection, power, immortality, and intelligence.

Jesus' words -- that preservation of even the jots and tittles -- was made in the context of Him not having the original manuscripts, any more than we do today. I’m so grateful you are continuing these videos. You have such a gift for teaching and I find it very easy to follow. Just for additional info that might be helpful for Evangelical Christians…. A large portion of LDS- I would even guess the majority don’t believe in the second point about God being the physical father- or any concept of God having sexual relations with Mary. They find the quotes you listed as problematic as you do. This is why you most likely will not find a similar quote in the last 20-50 years (although their may be one). They believe in an on-going restoration which means views and teaching do change and they go by the current views and teachings- which can be confusing for those both inside and outside of their religion. My point being if you talked to an LDS person about the second part of this video most would say they don’t believe that and you would lose any ground you had gained from your previous points. Again I’m very grateful for you and for the time you put into preparing these videos and your other live videos and try to watch when I can. Thank you.

I enjoyed the message but kinda got spooked by the frequent 'sovereign' insertions. I do not follow reformed theology as philosophically that can lead to atheism as it makes God the author of evil. And yes I do believe that God is sovereign but that humans also have free will. I am baby in my knowledge so I try to be very careful about falling into error.
