I just make these videos myself so I can go back and virtually tour the world. When I first started, I just wasn’t savvy enough to make the videos private and still be able to find them. Then people who live in all these beautiful places started commenting, which I found interesting. So you all can provide the commentary! Lol!

Bonjour from Canada! When I was 5 years old (I'm 67 now) my father was in the RCAF, and we lived in a small village called Ernestviller for a short time, then we moved to an apartment building (there were several such buildings, no more than 5 stories high, I think) on a hill that overlooked St. Avold. My memories of the town aren't great, but I clearly remember looking downhill to St. Avold. In winter, we would slide down that hill. I recall being with my mother as she shopped for dresses in St. Avold. I only recall that we were in a building, high up, and could look down into the street below. I also remember exploring the woods and streams there, and there was a field of long grass where we would pick up huge pieces of pumice. I remember the rotten egg smell from the pumice. I would love to visit one day, and see how well my memories match the reality. Your town is very beautiful. I now live in a very small town in south central British Columbia, called Ashcroft. I worked here for many years, and retired in 2021.

Meine Verwandten stammten aus Oberbetschdorf im 1880. Today, we live in Pennsylvania, USA, for the most part. We still have relatives in Betschdorf and I visited them in 1969 and 1973. Thanks for the video. Vielen dank!

En 1977 j'étais à Boulay pour le service militaire dans l'ancienne caserne. J'avais eu l'opportunité de travailler à la piscine puisque j'étais maître nageur et que le sous préfet de l'époque avait demandé à ce que j'occupe ce poste. J'ai rencontré une fille là bas et je l'avais ensuite fait venir à Amiens où j'habitais. Cette vidéo est pleine de nostalgie pour moi. Je garde de Boulay un excellent souvenir !
