Aethelflaed's character is season 4 really diminished for me. She was selfish, cold and unappreciative of people like Uhtred who sacrificed so much for her.

These two are really so gorgeous and beautiful together! Lots of strong beautiful scenes have shown their deep love and affection for each other. Hope the final season will show how they always will be there to protect and support each other. They are a unique strong team.. and both have a higher common purpose in fulfilling Alfreds dream of the united England. In the books it`s a well known secret, both in Wessex and Mercia that they were lovers.

Urghhh, I hate them together. Aethelflaed doesn’t deserve him. Alfred and his family just use him for their purposes and then toss him aside. Gisela was his one true love I believe. He will never love anyone like her.
