My rear wheel won't move because the caliper is directltly attached to the hub. Not sure what to do.
@bornbikertitan5812Ай бұрын
Ok do u mean ur brake caliper is stuck on ur brake disc and now u cant move ur rear wheel. Sorry im just tryin to make sure im understandin right.
@SaumBodhiАй бұрын
@@bornbikertitan5812 sorry that wasn't very clear. I was a bit confused because the part of the caliper that's connected to the frame via some sort of swing arm was tightened solid and wasn't behaving like a hinge anymore, and when this happens you cannot adjust the rear axel & chain tension because it locks the wheel where it is. This is the bolt on the caliper that's attached to a rod going towards the front of the bike. When it is loose it lets the caliper angle change as you move the wheel, yet it keeps it from going too far around. I'm still not sure what to do with this part if I keep it loose or if i lock it and unlock every time i need to adjust the rear axel? The previous owner had it tight, so i'm doing the same... things seem just fine. If i kept it loose i might lose the bolt as I ride eventually. Yet i never see anyone adjusting this bolt in any youtube tutorials. I'm not even sure what the thing is called! Haha

Appreciate your video and advice for next time to avoid issues getting the new spring on.. Has inspired me to see if I can do this on some older suzuki oem shocks that I thought were unserviceable.
@Butterfly07949 Жыл бұрын
Put some pvc insulation tape on the jaws of the spring compressor, and then there wouldn't be any scratches on the new springs. Good video mate.

@Born Biker Titan how on earth did you get the bolt off with the allen key , without holding the other end ?? (from inside) and i understood , the unit would just spin inside the shaft , if you didnt clamp it on the otherside
@bornbikertitan58123 жыл бұрын
On the other end of the falk were the big bolt seals the other end i found that the spring inside when compressed helped. But the red mud guard was still attached to the falk so it kept the body still.i hope this helps you fela.

One mistake you made is the spacer needs to go on top of the spring for optimal performance, not the other way around. That's how it comes from the factory and how it is shown on the parts fiche.

What the hell your clutch rod came out with the cover??? I'm confused
@bornbikertitan58123 жыл бұрын
Yep it came out with the cover because there was alot of dirt from the road but the push rod is fine not broken. I just put it back in its home on the bike it just needed a clean up. I can still change gears. Hope this helps. Let me knowif your still unsure.

Hi, found your video interesting, I have gs500 of which I have upgraded the front suspension which is worth doing. What difference did changing the rear spring make? Cheers Phil
@bornbikertitan58124 жыл бұрын
the difference i found was that my old spring had worn out even when i had done the adjuster to its max it wasnt springing up enuff. with the new the adjuster was on its lowest and it felt slightly higher and more solid. Im glad you found the video interesting. I hope this helps. good luk with your upgrades phil.
