Yes, you don't have screws on those A-pillars. It is held by steel hooks that, when unhooked, have additional hooks that hold the pillar. To unhook them, you have to pull the entire pillar up, because in that direction there is free space where the hooks are no longer attached to and you can remove them. It is very difficult to dismantle and re-install those pillars, and there is a possibility that the windshield will crack. My recommendation is just to unhook the hook to separate the pillar from the headliner and leave them like that... you will be able to remove the headliner, and it will be easier to put it back later.

I used Dunlop GP, although you can use any glue for the edges as long as it is heat resistant.

It is enough to take a tape measure and measure the width of the trunk and the diagonal width of the opening on the passenger door, and you will automatically get the answer to your question. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it would totally ruin the headliner. The only proper way to remove it is through the front windshield opening. That's how they work at the factory, but since it's not worth doing, removing the windshield, this as I recorded is the next right way. Trust me, I've done hundreds of these disassembly and repairs. Pozdrav. Unutrtašnje ogledalo koje je pričvršćeno za šajbu se samo rotira na desno. Na isti način se i vrati. Vrlo je jednostavno samo bez upotrebe sile jer može šajba pući.

@@VDEdition1 Hi. mission complete.I riped this off. After take off all handles and front sun guards was probably 5minutes job. Gently came all off. Then I used wheel brush and almost all leftovers of this funny orange foam came off. Of course left some marks and I tried with white spirit but maybe it's a job for the future. Anyway on front vertical parts (where lining still is on, L and R side of windscreen) I made some brown marks from this glue/foam. What to use if for that? I though maybe Gyeon fabric cleaner, but I'm not sure if is strong enough. btw now after touch with white spirit all handles and roof lights etc. looks not bad. Creamy white handles on dark background. And nothing is hanging down anymore! Feeling successful. Tom

Headliner and pillars are upholstered with original headliner material with 3mm foam. Other plastic parts are washed, sanded, primed and painted.

You need 2 meters in length and a minimum width of 140 cm.

I only painted the plastic parts, and used car paint applied with a paint gun. Headliner and pillars are upholstered.

This old material cannot be used for repair. There is foam under the material, which burns over time and turns into a slimy mass that must be cleaned for the glue to have an effect. I used new material and thermal glue for the repair. There is a video of the entire repair process on my channel, so you can watch it. I'm glad the video was helpful. The nuts were so loose that they could be unscrewed by hand. I tightened them by feel, using a small ratchet.

First cleaning with Nitro thinner, then sanding and primer. 10 min. wait for the primer to work and then you can paint. Good luck with the works.

40 seconds into the video and maybe to you this looks like a struggle, but in essence this is outsmarting with plastic over 20 years old, "How to take it off so it doesn't break". Nothing is broken in this and hundreds of other cars. All customers are satisfied. And my favorite are the comments of you characters who have 0 content on the channel, but thanks in any case.

I'm not sure there is any other option if there is no cord.

Thank you for your comment. You don't need a lot of tools. Torx screwdriver tx25 and tx30, Flat screwdriver for removing the headliner, and for panorama panels a 10mm ratchet is required. It is important for the adhesive to be heat resistant. I used Dunlop LP. Good luck with the works.
