The HMC prolly gives more options for Interval Mode and it takes all the work out of it ... I was looking hard, at your camera and an i7-930 motherbord combo and CS5, but I have learned how much is enough ... I ended up with the HMC40 (currently $1,880 USD) and an Athlon-II x4(OC) and Sony Vegas Studio 10 ... Overall, I cam in several $K under budget and I am plenty busy ... Looking also at the vHoldR Contour helmet cam with the $40 underwater housing.

@phrankus2009 - i LOVE the lowlight on this camera don't get me wrong....but just frustrated with the interval function

Well ... You'll "see" one advantage to your rig when shooting (downtown) at nite. ... That is really important and worth the extra dough.

@phrankus2009 - unfortunately, i had to go with what i had a credit line with....which only had the cam i got. i love the cam in general, just starting to dislike the interval recording function of it
