Thanks for the tour! Last winter we stayed in the Gran Destino Towers of the Coronado Springs resort where the room design is identical but bigger than the Casitas room including the bare floors which is a must for me. A glass shower door is another must. I hate shower curtains that cling to your body! The Gran Destino Towers is a hotel style building on the same site as the Casitas with the lower 2 floors a huge, open, beautifully designed lobby with a soaring ceiling. The rooms all have a view which is beautiful in all directions as opposed to the view of this motel style breezeway in the Casitas. We absolutely loved the Gran Destino Towers and are booked for early February in a room with 2 queen size beds. Love the spacious, well groomed gardens, too. Also the bus service to all the Disney properties and Disney World and the famous Disney Springs, outdoor, mega shopping and entertainment ' village'.

It is a beautiful resort. If we chose to stay at Coronado again we would most likely choose to stay at the Tower too. This was a preferred room so it was a pretty close walk to the front. I agree with you so much about the bare floors we hate carpets too. With the room flooding and them not moving us if the room had carpet, we would have been very upset. We are planning on trying a different resort next time. We are glad you enjoyed the video though and hope you found it helpful.

@@explorationfowler I am glad to have followed you on your tour of the room. Next year I may take the family on a second cruise and have them stay at the preferred room of the Casitas since the children love to swim and could just go as much as they like right outside their door. My husband and I would still prefer the Tower. Thanks for the tour.

They were not doing construction that we could see and we were not aware of any events going on at the time. That’s why we thought it was strange.

It was cute! It definitely needs some upgrades but it looked like they were working on it! I wish we would have had a chance to use the pool area more but we enjoyed it!

Thanks for taking us along for a lovely drive through the Nantahala National Forest. My husband used to go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River that flows through that forest back in college. It is such a beautiful, lush forest. Great video!

Chico is adorable. The Philly cheesesteak looks delicious. We were there on a Sunday and Monday and a lot of the restaurants were closed. Thanks for your video.

@@DesperatelySeekingSolitude24 Thank you so much! He wants to be friends with everyone that comes by! We love that he is so friendly! The sandwiches were very good and we loved how dog-friendly they were. A lot of the restaurants seemed to be closed on Sunday and Monday. Small town charm I guess.

My fav place on earth..that whole stretch of hwy64 from Franklin to Highlands. Several waterfalls all along the way. I spent a summer working in highlands right out of high school and that did it..went last Nov. stayed at the Hampton Inn in Franklin ($147 a night with AAA discount) temps were 45-50 degrees during the day and 38-43 degrees in the mornings

It’s such an incredibly beautiful place! You are right about that stretch of hwy 64! We love it there too! It sounds like you had perfect November! How did you like the Hampton Inn? We believe that everyone should be lucky enough to get to see the Smokys at least once in their life! ❤️

This looks like a great campground with lots to do. I love the petting zoo. It is awesome that it is so close to the national park. Tubing down a river is always a relaxing, fun time. Sorry to hear about your father’s heart attack. We pray that he will recuperate fully from the surgery. Glad y’all were able to get away for a few days.

It was very nice! I loved the goats so much they were so mad I didn’t have any food! 😂😂 I think Chico had more fun than anybody! We really needed that getaway thank you so much! Dad’s doing much better now!

Looks like a nice bar with beautiful waterfall and evening atmosphere, however, that is not gem mining. It’s play sand that is intentionally salted with rocks, minerals and other materials to give that sifting experience.

I live in Myrtle Beach. Its pretty dead around here after the season. A lot of people think it is booming year round but unless you love golf, you have to find indoor things to do.

You are definitely right. We live right over the NC line. During the off season we like to call this a sundown town! Once the sun goes down the town closes down too! It’s very interesting to see the difference in the strip during the different times of year! That’s why we like to make these videos!

This video brings back so fun memories of time spent along the strip in Myrtle Beach. We have never been in the winter though. It looks so weird to see it not be crowded on a Saturday night. I bet it is a really relaxed atmosphere down there this time of year. Thanks for sharing some Myrtle Beach vibes with us!

We are local(ish) about 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach and grew up here. Winter is a totally different vibe than summer for sure. It really slows down here. It’s mostly just locals around this time of year but I always think it’s interesting to see what’s happening on the strip. You can always gauge how tourism is in the area by the strip. If it’s busy so is everything else. I really enjoy doing these videos and comparing the different times of year!

They did standard breakfast well we’ve definitely had bad standard breakfast 😅😂 unfortunately!
