Howard Cossell gave one of the worst analyses of a fight that I have heard. Completely had this fight wrong as he spoke about Ray Leonard’s performance. Was very weird. It’s pretty obvious that he was winning and claiming he wasn’t throwing combinations simply means you aren’t understand what you are watching. He landed clean shots most of the night and was easily ahead on the scorecards. Those punches weren’t just hitting gloves when Mayweather was trying to “dope” Leonard into punching himself out. Idk what Cossell was watching. Theres points where Leonard lands clean shots and he claims Mayweather “slipped” when it’s clear he was rocked. Just weird.
