Hi from oz Andy. Great video. Good explanation on problems with those black soils but they do have excellent plus features. All soils have some positive features and some negative. Eg my own farm has loamy sand soils. Great for use of light rain and ease of working but low water holding capacity high wear rates on metal tools and if very high rainfall it goes like soup. We have had 3 very high rainfall years in a row(21,22,23) and I could not sow 1 acre only move around farm on atv.

Your boom height is just fine. No need to go so lower to the ground the speed of your boom and sprayer covering ground drives that spray down to the ground.

Here in north italy the situation is the same, rains a lot, over 200mm or 7 in only for May. Someone doesn't have seeded the corn

The difference between ripping and sub soiling and the result of sub soiling and the current year and the dry of last Andy Will you at least start to consider getting Great Plains on board and get a trial going this year?

I’d say your golden retriever got lucky that you found him. And you are lucky to have found such a beautiful well behaved dog. They are very well behaved dogs. He will be a great family dog. Someone must have dumped him. We had a cat and a dog dumped near our farm over the years. And we of coarse kept them.

Hey Andy, When your looking at forecast percentages of rainfall. The percentage isn't "chance" of rain. It's the percentage of your area that will receive rain. I hope that helps explains the % concept. Here's to another bin busting season 🍻
