The twilight movie series actually used real native Americans in the cast besides Taylor Launter who is only a little bit native in real life. All the actors were from tribes on the east coast but they did try to accurate about a tribe on the pacific coast.

I seen a light in the woods camping near this land, Forks, La Push area, a place where you are not allowed to have electricity or plumbing. It was a ball of light that radiated for a min and then it slowly "melted like lava" into the ground - that's how it was physically when it went into the ground, like how the lava moved in those retro lamps.

Who knows, my maternal grandfather might be an descendant of this tribe, and his wolf shifting gene might be dormant, and passed it down to me, and it suddenly became active again after many years.

"Hi'cha kwa" -- "Greetings" in Quileute. What the Quileutes believe in is what is known as totemism. That is the reason why totem poles are so common among the Northwest Coast Native Americans. It is the believe that they are descendants of an animal. Hopefully, we can learn more about the Quileutes, than just from a silly motion picture. How about learning their language, where all their legends are held. When you lose a language, you lose a culture. Let us not lose the Quileute culture

I am a Maori woman from New Zealand my tribe is Ngapuhi, and Ngati Haua, i have been to Quileute an was amazed at how much it looks like my home town in NZ, along with the many traditions and and customs our cultures are very much alike, i would like to learn more :)
