Just by hearing it, I see how challenging this march would be. The key changes, the chromaticism. My community band is playing it for spring quarter, and I'm so excited for this.

Played this at University of British Columbia music department 1966 (I think - give or take a year or two). UBC at the time refused to allow any of the saxophone family as principal instruments of study. I was the only clarinetist willing to double on alto sax, so I was the sole alto sax player in a large band. I had taught myself to play alto sax in grade 12 so I could double in the school "dance band". The section in D major concert (B major on alto sax), in the lowest range of the alto sax, was just about my undoing. I wish I could find the music so our community band could play it. It is apparently out of print.

I remember this day, those were beautiful days, if you filmed all of these, do you have them back to July of 2007, there are several videos of my daughter's performances that I have been trying to recover for several years...they would be from July of 2007-jan 2009...I have requested this before and I believe you were going to give my # to someone that might be able to help...several of her howling coyote videos are posted on mine and her sister's channel, and we have a DVD where some were compiled, but there are several gaps...can you help, will you help? Please...Maria passed in January 2019, 2 years and 1 day after Bob, one of her most influential mentors

Was fortunate to hear Mr. Ruske in Rockport MA. Rockport Musical Society. In an intimate setting, the art society. The audience surrounded him two rows deep, before they built the current beautiful hall with the sea as the natural backdrop and with gulls gliding in and out of view.

Don’t play things at double time to challenge yourself. It should sound solid at half time before you push your bands tempo so quick
