Awesome! What was the date was this video taken? Haley Creek was not crossable when we went. Looks crossable in this video. There is another abandoned railroad tunnel 0.6 miles past Haley my friend and I want to find. We want to go back and try again! Thanks!

Lee and Howard are my grandfathers brothers. My grandpa was supposed to be on the plane too. Crazy to think I wouldn’t be here if he was.

This was an extremely nice day. The normal surf is much bigger and things get really interesting. This video is from a spot just north of Anchor Point - kzbin.info/www/bejne/roeTiYWQpql1jdU&ab_channel=MelErickson

Im planning on backpacking this next June but towards the end of the month would you say there are places near the top to camp? I can't seem to find anything about late june .
I checked, and that’s actually closer than you want to be to a mother with cubs. I’m glad you still have all you arms

I appreciate your concern and as an Alaskan I am Bear Aware... What you don't see in this video is that it is filmed from a platform over 10 feet in the air that Katmai National Park has provided to help ensure visitors safety, along with many other bear related measures in the park. I absolutely agree that in any other situation a mother with cubs is to be avoided at all costs.

Is there any ramp for smaller boats?
@kshowalter14 жыл бұрын
At high tide there's one that'll work. But it's definitely not for larger boats.
@denali94492 жыл бұрын
There is a small boat ramp at the end of the Homer Spit which is about 20 miles away. Remember, this is Cook Inlet, you are not going to put your 18 foot boat in here.
