My understanding of the laws of a guardian is that they need to follow the court's recommendations and the needs that are needed for the client. What happens when the guardian doesn't follow the recommendations of the court and the client? As of right now, I am 59 years old and they are interfering with my mail and other personal business against my wishes. What can I do to change this?

Why doesn't ARC answer my question about guardianship and conservatorship? I have had a guardian and conservator for several years and they are not needed or wanted to make important decisions about my financial and personal matters. They get all of my money and mail.

Hello My name is Steven Rannow. I have some questions about Guardianship laws. Why doesn't a county court ( McLeod County ) follow the statutes of assigning a guardian for a person they think is incapacitated without having valid evidence to assign a guardian? I have had a guardian for several years and I think that I don't need a guardian. The court has never tried less restrictive alternatives and they assigned a guardian and conservator to me. I was not well informed about their decision to assign a guardian to me. Do I need a hearing to have a guardian and conservator assigned to me? How is clear and convincing evidence met to determine if a person should be assigned a guardian and conservator? They have total control of the money that I make from working. Are they allowed to do this? Thank You

I know the mission of The Arc they are an example where every person feel accepted .They work with people with disability , their families and community .It's important to mention that inclusion is beneficial for students with disabilities because social relationships are created, and to build learning and behavioral skills.

It’s hard to find genuine people who cares enough and make each individual feel welcome regardless of their mental or physical disability. Keep sharing this information so people whom work in the field could understand the importance of inclusive.
