Thanks for the video. Have you used it yet in manual mode? I'm curious how that function works.
@RIDE88USA
@RIDE88USA 9 күн бұрын
Yes I have. There’s a couple ways. One is to enter your travel. That seems to work great. It goes to what you enter then comes back up. The push button up/down version of manual is a little awkward but it’s not too bad. I wish you could simply move up and down with 2 buttons but there’s steps between and essentially you have to cancel downward movement to allow the retract to function. I think it’s all safety stuff. Maybe we will be able to override this in a future software update??

I like the idea of the wood square...but at the same time, I think LS should have designed the material supports to do this. The backguage is good, but for thin parts or parts without a square end, there needs to be a 90 edge to align the part on the front end. Are the support arms anywhere near reliably square to the die? or are the too far out or not consistently reliable?
@RIDE88USA
@RIDE88USA 13 күн бұрын
They are visibly not even close to square but still useful for material support.

@@RIDE88USA I'll design some sort of a manual linear rail adjustable square. it's a shame langM took it this far, but failed to finalize the squaring feature.

Hey I also happen to notice at about 14:20 your bearings they look like unsealed bearings I could be mistaken and I’m in the process of also putting mine together with the arms and back gauge but regardless they are sending it out with sealed bearings you might want to hit them up and ask for the sealed bearings just happen to see that difference well possibly a difference…

They look covered but not sure if that means sealed or not. They are running fine anyway.

I've had mine for a couple months now I believe. I had issues with missing hardware, sae bolts when they should have been metric and vise versa. My motors were all mislabeled, so my wires on the back are plugged in reverse currently. I was missing a part for the material support. The two back gauge motor mounts wouldn't fit on the rails. They sent me new ones they machined but by then I had already done the milling myself to make them work. I was having that issue with the back gauge how one side would go up. I messed with the alignment several times and it seems to have gone away. I will have to check out the info about the switches you mentioned. My back gauge holes to mount into the main portion of the press (where you had hole alignment issues) were off, but not as much as yours. I cleaned up the holes some and was able to get the bolts in. I had similar issues with the plates for the cross beam of the back gauge. I would suggest you swap out your bolts on the front that hold the plates that tighten against the punches. They are far too short. Mine only went in a couple threads and stripped a couple. Just loosening them to swap punches the bolts would sometimes fall out. They can be 1" or whatever because of how thick that plate is, so there's no reason for them to be so short. As far as accuracy, I have seen bends with different combinations of die/punch/metal thickness be off. Some combinations are dead on.

Sounds like you had more to deal with than me. Ultimately I am happy with it so far. My bends once programmed are repeating perfectly.
@ID_Charles
@ID_Charles 18 күн бұрын
@@RIDE88USA When I was referring to the bending, I was more talking about the accuracy of the defaults. Once you do test bends to figure out the under/over bend then the machine does seem to have reliable repeatability.

Nice write up. I've had my 25T for a couple months. I had similar issues but overall the customer service and correcting of issues was pretty swift. Cant complain too much, just slowed me down a bit. I also purchased the MR-1. Overall I'd say for the money Langmuir Systems is a great value - patience is needed but good people.

I receive mine on Monday. I just scheduled the delivery so this is a super timely upload for me. I agree with opinion on the price point vs. value! I honestly wanted a 3’ machine, but at 4x the price of this unit I just could not justify it at this point. Hopeful this will take my business to new highs.

Thanks for sharing your detailed experience and the problems and resolutions offered by Langmuir. I placed a deposit last year and got the notification to place my order last week with the final day to order being today! I have zero experience with press brakes so the current challenge is tooling selection. I found a guide on the Langmuir forum that gives some examples of what to order for different use cases. I’ll be keeping an eye out for any future videos you post.

Sounds good! I got a bunch of tooling but they could only fulfill 1/3 of it. So be prepared for that. I was told 3 more months on the rest of my tooling. FYI I bend mostly 1/8" steel plate. The smallest die I received was something like 16mm 30 degree. Haven't needed to go with any of my bigger dies as it bends perfect with the 16.

Nice video! I have one and had minimal issues with the setup. Seems like the back gage could have been fabricated from aluminum extrusion like 8020 and assembly would have been easier. I bought mine because I wanted the cnc back gage and the mobility of the unit. I didn't want it to be a huge presence in my shop. I'm in the middle of a new compressor install to get ready for my new XR plasma table! Great looking parts, by the way! Going to bend a new mount for my Tsunami air filters. It will be my first real part on the 25T.

Thanks for the comment! Love to hear more on the XR. I have a Crossfire and it's pretty nice. A little edge clean up and parts are professional looking and accurate. Langmuir hits a real sweet spot for small shops / garages. But I would like to get a bigger table eventually.

Hey Greg! Our rack is compatible with a bike that heavy, however at that weight you should be using it in tandem with our tie down anchors to ensure your bike doesn't break itself as stated in the weight guide. Additionally, our BMX adapter will accommodate that 20" tire.

With my 4-wheeler in the back of the truck, I cannot close the tailgate, and it does not sit out far enough to put weight on the tailgate to stop the bounce. I have purchased these for my 2015 F150, and they work great. No more bouncing while I drive with the tail gate open.
