I love this car! I had a 1970 1.9L. I bought it in California and drove it to Minot N.D. where I was stationed in the Air Force. She worked like a champ during winters with temps in the low 20's. I restored it with new seats, wheels and dash cover. They are such fun to drive!

One of these 1970 popped up when I was checking cars online only 3,5K€! 😃

I cant believe I have just found this as I am such a huge AMC, Rebel fan particularly. I have a special interest in the Australian assembled cars as they had V8s and heavy duty suspension. I would love a 67 Rebel. Any way Fantastic job you are doing and keep it up.

I owned a 70 in 1976. So much fun. It went where you pointed it and that was rare for the 70's. Just not enough horse power. I do remember it plowed through the snow better than any rear wheel car I owned.

Lovely example, and good to hear that it's a daily driver. Looks fabulous on the ROH Sprintmaster mags. Custom centres? Not quite "top-of-the-range" though. In Australia we had the GT L (equivalent to Brit 1600E). We've had a GT L, two GTs and a 440 over the years, and great fun to drive, especially on dirt.

You did a homage to a Nascar Cup Car with the #64 1964 Ford Galaxie. I did a Homage to an asphalt short track sportsman car with the #63 1963 Ford Fairlane. I'm in Atlanta, GA... to bad we aren't closer as they would look amazing together. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWWqg6Z4aJVol7c

I agree with Steve, the car is stunning, art gallery class, I'vehad a few Cortina in my life, company cars put an end to me owning one but I still think thy are the best cars ever made.

Hallo! Super Video! Vielen Dank!

I used to live on Sugar Bag Rd at the time they tested them. Prefect road for it. But I was too young to realise what was happening. I remember being blown away when my brother showed me the magazine article, "Supercar from Caloundra" I'd never seen my hometown's name in such big print before. It was surreal.

they ruined the new Mazda Miata RF and chopped it to look like the Opel. Mind you the Opel is perfect, the Miata was world car of the year 2016 not a targa top afterthought just to appeal to drivers who just had to get something close to a full hard top for sound an harsher climate conditions. Sorry the Miata is a true convertible period.
