🙏Prayer Focus: God, we ask You in Jesus' name to bless Calvin Nowell with everything that he stands in need of, and everything You want Calvin to have. Bless Calvin to prosper, have excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless him with love, power, and a sound mind. Heal him in every area of his life. Let Your Word be a lamp unto Calvin's feet, and a light unto his path. God bless him with Your love, favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, prosperity, strength, and success in all You have called him to do. I am 70 years old. At age 55 I began to examine my life. I, confessing Jesus as my Savior, was not experiencing the abundant life. I was not a "worldly" woman, and the world probably identified me as a "good" even "Christian" woman. However, I knew better for even though I was able to conduct myself in public as a woman of faith, my inward thoughts about myself and others, my anger, my jealously, my desire for control was not who I claimed to be in-Christ. I began searching for someone who could help me understand the missing link. I found Freedom in Christ Ministry. I am not a follower of Neil Anderson, I follow Jesus Christ, but Dr. Anderson and his associates in the ministry, taught me the truths of God's Word, and it was walking in the truths in God's Word to my life, I found freedom. Am I no longer tempted in my weak areas? We are not promised we would be free from temptations, but we are given the authority and power to rise above temptation and live a life in-Christ. Dr. Anderson not only this lesson but in all your works you are being used as an instrument of God and are bringing the gospel of freedom to millions and bringing glory to God. Dr. Anderson's statements are not true because he or I believe them. Truth is true whether we believe it or not. These statements are true because they are the truths found in God's Word - not human reason. Spiritual warfare is a daily choosing whether we will live in our new identity in-Christ or if we live according to the worldview and our desires that appeal to our flesh. Read your own Bible, under the leading of the Holy Spirit and he will lead you to truth. The truth will set you free.

John 3:16….”for God so loved the World that He gave His only Son. “ God loved us before we loved Him, even before we accepted His Son and repented. This is the fundamental part of the Gospel. If God had waited for us to repent before He loved us, He would never have sent His Son and the whole rescue plan for humanity would never have happened. He Loves because He IS love. Repentance is necessary to receive salvation. Again all detailed in John 3:16. That’s the beauty of the Gospel story.

I like Neil Anderson in many ways but definitely disagree with him on some things. It’s unfortunate on how he doesn’t think for himself and let’s modern day psychology think for him. He’s really doing people a big disservice.

"Modern day psychology think for him"?!! Are you aware that much of modern day psychology comes out of an atheist worldview? (I speak from personal experience... I was a clinical social worker with a masters degree & advanced training before I became a Christian) So I think Dr. Anderson is right on track ... Maintaining a biblical worldview. Anything other than that would be doing a disservice. Maranatha! Come Jesus come! 🙏🙏🙏🔥💯

We are in a study of James 4. This is in reference to: “Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?” ‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬
@scionlyfe380

@@southviewc This is an excellent passage for modern Christians, and one that society as a whole tends to misinterpret. Let’s break down James 4:11-12: “Do not speak evil against one another, brothers.” Evil speaking is commonly seen as slander or gossip, speaking something malicious against your brothers in Christ. Ephesians 4:31 says “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.” Putting evil speaking in the likes of feelings like bitterness, wrath, clamor, and anger gives us an idea of what speaking evil is rooted in. “He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.” So we have established that speaking evil is about speaking deceitful, slandering, saying things that are not true. But who are our brothers? Why is this passage worded this way? Jesus says it best in Matthew 12:46-50: “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” So Jesus is telling us our brothers, our sisters, and our mothers are those fellow christians. That our brethren are not those who share our flesh and blood but those who share our spiritual accordance of obeying the word of God. Of course we all know Matthew 7:21: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father who art in heaven.” Jesus has stated here that those who do the will of God in heaven are our brothers. We are not to cast evil speech or condemn (the meaning of judgement here) our brothers. This is not a passage saying to love everyone. This is not saying you cannot judge anyone. This is saying do not condemn your brothers in Christ and obey the law of God. One more passage for thought, which comes from Jesus sermon on the mount. Matthew 7:3-5 reads: “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” In order to lead those into Christ you must cast the beam from your own eye i.e. set your life on the Holy path set out in the scripture. This passage is not saying that you cannot guide others in the word of God and commit to changing their lives. A judgement is a condemnation, but it’s a common trope used in the modern church to say that you cannot say anything about anyone’s lifestyle to anyone for any reason. That is not true. You can do this once you walk a path with Christ, so that you may help others to live a life unto them. Meaning you must cast the modern version of “judgement” (since we have established that the word judgement and judging in the text is in reference to condemning and casting out, not to simply making an observation and suggestion) in order to instill the word of God. This passage is not telling you to love the idolater, the adulterer, the murderer, the liar, the thief. This passage is telling you not to cast judgement and speak evil on your brothers in Christ Jesus. Not being able to say these things are wrong and call them out is modern society’s interpretation of judgement. God wants you to speak out against those that are an abomination unto his will just as he wants you to not condemn and love and speak well of your brothers in Christ. Both of these can be true. The modern church’s trope of “loving everyone” is not rooted in the bible.

@@scionlyfe380 Dillian if you would watch the full video sermon, you’ll see that this message is directed at the church. Pastor Mark has made it very plain in our study of James that this is a handbook for addressing the people who confess Jesus as Lord a.k.a. the church, a.k.a. the believer. When this snippet was taken out of that message, it was outlined throughout the message that we are not to judge people that confess Jesus as lord, but that we are to be examples, so that the world can see a higher level of love, accountability, understanding of the word, and following the commandments of Jesus.
