I just got my Vega Vintage Star....I love it for Civil War reenactments and Rendezvous! It really goes well with the songs of the era.

It seems like you missed breaking down a small portion of the A part, right as you move from the first hand position to the second D position. Maybe I just missed it somehow. But it sounds like it's a hammer on 0-2 first string, drop thumb first to second string, third string open or a brush? Thank you for the tutorial anyways I heard this song at a jam and knew right away I wanted to play it.

I know I speak for everyone when Phil leaves this earthly life and forges forward into the next realm. He will be sorely missed and never replaced. His contribution to folk music and to this community have made him a legend. We will never forget this man. He has done so much for us all.

I first played on Bound For Glory in 1967 when I was 17. Phil was such a great guy to work with. I cut my performance teeth there, and then moved to Boston. I would come back to Ithaca and play Phil's show. I opened for Small Potatoes twice out here in Kansas. Phil had locals and famous touring acts as well. I loved playing that room. Does anyone remember the night Howie Bunsen played and had a bit to drink prior to the show? Someone's big dog walked up on stage behind Howie while he was playing, and chewed the capo Howie had left on the floor him. The dog quietly left the stage with Howie never noticing him. When he turned around to pick up his capo he looked so puzzled that it was all wet... The audience had remained quiet until then - and everyone laughed so hard.

Such a lovely tune, you play so wonderfully, as always. Thanks for sharing. Love KZbin in that I can be watching something on Macro Photography and this pops up, my attention immediately diverted and now I have a beautiful ear-worm which has definitely made me smile from within and filled my Sunday with some sunshine. Just perfect thank you!!!!! PS will this tune be added to the Lesson Channel at some point?
