so im level 80-something and have played on difficulty 9 almost exclusively since 30's. ive figured out a lot of the body-party mechanics over time, and use them to my advantage, but somehow NEVER clued in to how these HP pools work until trying to google the HP of enemies and coming across your reddit post. so much makes sense now and i feel so oblivious now having not put the pieces together as to why sometimes the BT is still walking after 5 hastily shot EAT's lmao. i just kinda figured headshots must have massive damage multiplication compared to more armoured bodyparts. appreciate you making this and your post! thanks!!

You can block some ladders by taking a weapon mount or port hole and put it on the hab connection points then set hab in place change the type then change back to the one you want then release and then you got ladders were you want them. There are video's on it cause I was getting infuriated of ladders and found this work around. Great ship build good gaming to you.

I'd recommend abandoning brand loyalty completely to have the best options. I go with the interiors I like then decorate and paint the outside.

Omg this video is so unnecessarily long. This could EASILY be shortened down to 15 - 20 minutes if you just skipped all the irrelevant small talk. As far as build guides go, this was really frustrating to follow.

I realize this video is 7 months old now, but one of the things that nobody ever made clear to me was if you go to the manufacturers and buy unique parts, does that mean they are then available at your outpost landing pad AFTER you buy them for other builds? I couldn't get an answer to this and I was having an infuriating time running around buying parts and sticking them onto a Frankenstein ship, so I just installed a mod that gives all ship parts to all vendors and your outpost pad.

Best guide ever, thx a LOT !! I am lvl 185, 690 hours in and never found such a good build guide before, hehe..

*Placing Habs:* The final method I've found is to use the preferred door placement. You kinda sorta started doing this, but you did it by placing a hab between two existing habs. You also showed that if you hover over a door icon and hit G, then you can place a hab or what not on that specific anchor point. What you didn't cover (and perhaps didn't know back then) is that as you're adding habs, you'll notice that the habs change alignment, You go from say the All-in-one hab to a living quarters or a workshop, then the hab will flip at the point you're trying to anchor pointing forward or pointing backward from that point. It's giving you the preferred door placement by doing that. This is something I doubt even the DEV's planned on doing, otheerwise it's absolutely NOT taught in-game and we pretty much have to figure it out, but I am able to get hab layouts about 99% of the time the way I want them. The Cabbot bridge is the one we can use to make a "No Ladders" construct by using this method. You just add each hab, one at a time, at the place where you want them, and you chose the orientation of the hab you want to go into the space. Because of the prefferred door and orientation, maybe I chose a different doorway location, or a different hab entirely and place the hab I want elsewhere in the build, but there won't be anymore wonky door and ladder placement. *Door/Ladder denial technique* This method goes with the Z switching trick to get a decoration or a hab to go where you want it to go. If it's red, flip it with Z, then flip it back, and hit escape, and it'll go there anyways. Even if there's overlap. Or with Habs, place it where you want, switch to a different hab type, and then switch it back, hit escape, and it'll go there anyways. So to deny a door or deny a ladder, you put a window there, Z-flip the item you want there, hit escape, and the game force realligns how you want the door/ladders to align.

I have built a couple of ships now, and still learned a ton of useful stuff...wondering if that Mod for all ship parts includes the unique Crimson Fleet parts...

For the vanguard flight sim.. outside the simulator , go down the steps there is a tool cart under the simulator, take the key card it unlocks a higher level of cheats than you can even access via hacking the console. And many will not have the security skills unlocked at this as well. No one seems to know about the key card. Pretty sure you need be hidden and steal the keycard

Fantastic building guide, with a lot of information, thank you! Could you recommend the amount of helium tank to make a jump and backwards for 30LY would 600 be enough to avoid so loading screens? I liked the HE-3 tanks you used, if I am correct you have 550, 4x100 and a 150 on your ship. P.S. the urls to your spreadsheet seems to be broken or is that my browser?

I upgraded my Razorleaf to this build (with 1 or 2 small cosmetic changes). So not only do I have an absolute beast of a ship but it scares the crap outta spacers and they try to flee.

My biggest problem with these Starfield ship builder parts, is that there are NO real wing options... I get almost lost in the building of these ships, and I have liked bigger ships, but the absence of wings does not look right in my opinion... Not to mention this should have an option of different shows or movies not as popular as Star Wars, or Star Trek for example... For example, the Last Starfighter(1980's movie), or Firefly/Serenity etc.... this would be a big one for the "FANS" of these films or TV shows... I also don't like the boxy square look but I guess it is what it is... I am also not into long video's as much as I am not into mod's as much as using a console verses the complication of a PC game... TY for what you did in this video, but Just to say this, my favorite ships are not yours... My version of Razorleaf isa small 3 hab ship with top of the line max class B weapons, that is strong enough to battle class C ships and win all battles... or a battle version freight hauler, which are my "go toos"

stop publishing these fake videos, the game has strict limits on mass and size for ships unless you hack it or install a mod you can't build such large ships, don't deceive potential buyers of a freedom that the game doesn't offer!

1:12:11 - *"...second best shield in the game."* That's debatable. There's a B-class shield with 1500 health: The 28T Defender Shield Generator. However, it can only be mounted on the side. But it's only 90 mass. And it has a Regen Rate of 7%. Compare that to the Assurance SG-1800. 1,600 health 160 mass 5% Regen Rate Frankly, the 28T the better shield. FYI, both add only 5 hull. As far as aesthetics, I mounted mine on the inner side of one the landing gears on a C-class I built yesterday.

There is a shield that's 1500 with a 7% regen. rate which in my opinion is the best in the game.

Do you have a lot of success with two sets of auto turrets? I have one set on all of my ships but I'm a little hesitant about relinquishing that much control of my weapons.

On to of the mod for all parts at 1 place, there is now a mod that removes auto door placement and adds them as a part you can add yourself so no more weird door placement.

This was very helpful I took apart a ship then started from the beginning with you, I salvaged a lot from the scrap ship to save some money and got it almost a replica of your design, I had higher grade engines but they where bigger so it messed me up😂they had to sit on the top but they look just as cool, I like your parrot too🦜
