I think if joey turned out to be bi his character wouldn’t have been more interesting. It seemed they didn’t know what to write for him or how to half way through the show. He was an extra with a lot of screen time

They made it about being gay a lot but to be honest they explored healthy affection a lot on this show. The nap part in particular. Sometimes you just need to pile up, man. There’s a reason you see cats do it.

Friends without Phoebe, specifically Lisa Kudrow, would not have been nearly as good. She was the odd duck. The other five were good, but all stock sitcom characters. She did not write her own lines, but she knew exactly how to deliver them. Lisa fans need to watch THE COMEBACK. It's funny and heartbreaking.

Phoebe did make it on her own, in the sense of surviving. Yeah, she worked some wackadoodle jobs, but she ate and had a safe place to sleep, in spite of the terrible trauma she went through. If I were alone I doubt very much I could do that.
