I find writing retreats are good. It doesn’t have to be a week or weekend away, I find that if I block out a day or even a morning/afternoon, I get SO much done. It could be in a local cafe or library, but for me it needs to be away from the hustle and bustle of life at home and work. Time for me and my writing 😊

I do quarterly planning too. I'm able to put the Kanban board on the wall to move the projects around, but I primarily use a disc planner - like Happy Planner - for planning. I have a lot of videos on my channel about it. It's taken like seven years to evolve it to what it is now. I really liked seeing how you've evolved. Once I tried a paper Kanban baord with post-it page flags, It was a squeeze but it worked for a while.

This is why I love my Traveler’s notebook. I can have different inserts for temporary/mundane and separate one for long term information. The regular size will also perfectly hold a standard sheet of paper folded in thirds. It’s more flexible than a fixed bullet journal, but also less spread out than an Everbook. I do appreciate out easy it is to customize inserts for the EB though.

I also do index cards for my tasks and productivity it’s so flexible and it’s so easy to modify the system. Besides, I love not having to migrate tasks by hand and write them all over if they don’t get done that day. I go through my cards and choose those to work on - next actions from projects, things for the house, whatever. I make a schedule on a card with score value for each task when I finish a task, I award myself that score and get a percentage for the day - it’s a great way to keep me focused!

Hello! Thank you for watching and I am super glad that you tried this system out! I have few more videos about how I manage to organise my life with Everbook, so feel free to join my journey 😄 Yes, it is super hard and expensive to get the original cover from the US… especially in Ukraine 🇺🇦 but it’s worth it as long as you start using system as your daily carry for everything. Commonplace, journal, planner, etc. Great video, thanks for sharing!

Thank you. I came across your channel in my feed for your everyday carry, which is an amazing system. I love the signifier's on the bottom of the pages, what a good idea. The Everbook has really helped with my project planning, and I wanted to share the idea, as within the planner community there is a trend to want all the things, but sometimes you need to get back to basics and simplicity. Thank you for watching you have inspired me and I watch all your video's. Stay Safe. Edwina xx

Great video - I’m UK based and discovered the ever book last year some time. Like you I found the official version too expensive to import, so instead I purchased a strip of thickish scrap leather off ebay for £10ish and made my own, purchasing a thick elastic to hold it shut which came with a pen insert for about £5 from amazon. I have moved away from the template version a bit - using more of the Tiago Forte style ‘PARA’ system - which allows for sorting out shorter term ‘projects’ from ‘areas’ of life where I’m unlikely ever to be ‘done’. For ease of archiving the papers that do - or are likely to - need to be kept I actually purchased ‘filofax’ style papers - again a few pounds for a mixed pack of plain, dotted and lined - and then I can easily keep them together by using an A5 binder when they are moved out of the everbook at the end of the month / project. For general scribbles that I know are unlikely to need to be kept, I just use standard folded A4 paper. Looking forward to seeing how you move forward with your setup. 👍🏼
@mycraftorchard77374 ай бұрын
What a good idea. I have loads of 6 ring binder paper, and Filofax's in the cupboard, so that sound like it will work a treat, I am trying to reduce my stash of planner/journaling stuff so will be a good use for the paper inserts. You have me intrigued about the PARA system so will be checking it out. xx

It's satisfying to see the before and after! One of my struggles is choice overload, seeing so many things on my desk, it's hard to start journaling when I don't know which supplies to grab. So, I'm trying to put extra ones out of sight, and swap out "in-use" things to reduce the feeling of choice overload!
